Week 21: Saturday
Who: Kin and Ita
When: Right as the sun was setting
Where: The beach

Being patient was one thing, but being impatient for the sun to set was another. Really didn't make sense, though for someone who was patient, like Kin for example, he was surprised, not realizing that he was pacing back and forth within his room - looking out his window each time he decided; which was every other second. Still to this very day, he was amazed that he could see the sun. It didn't hurt. It actually felt really nice. Now, if he went out, like he wanted to before, well, a lot could go so wrong. Not that he really wanted to test the theory.

He was still kicking himself in the butt for what he said. Going out in the afternoon. What a silly thing! Guess being around so many people actually brought the... Human out in him. If that was humanly possible. No pun intended. Though, it was cute that Ita totally forgot as well. Thinking of that made him laugh. She was so cute in the way he wanted to squeeze her to him, and probably never let go.

Eh... That's thinking a bit too much. Making the feeling of a blush come over his cheeks, causing both his hands to rub at them.

The best thing to do right now was distract himself. Yeah. That usually made the time fly by like he was speeding through the forest. And the only thing he could think of was looking over the portrait he did of Sasha. That day with her made him smile a little. She wouldn't mind him using this in the art show, right?

He had to sigh at himself. As if she would answer out of the blue. Kin couldn't even recall if he asked while he was doing it. Maybe he did, but being so absorbed in what he was doing, it probably slipped his mind; like the time usually did.

Thinking so much brought the sun down faster, not even realizing the time until he looked up.

He was cursing up in down in Japanese and English while he gathered everything together. The sun itching it's way down, down, and down. It wouldn't bother him so much if he painted her under the night sky, but getting a nice cast of a shadow upon her beautiful features would be lovely. Hopefully Ita wasn't waiting long as he raced to get outside. Dropping things here and there in several of the hallways.

Ita was too excited about the portrait. She had tried on, and discarded, nearly everything she owned, finally settling for a pale blue sundress. After making the decisiion, she slipped on some white sandals and headed down to the beach.

Arriving a bit early - the sun hadn't even set, yet - she meandered about the beach with no particular pattern. Sometimes she giggled or hummed to herself, other times she looked intently at the patterns in the sand. She had even started a small collection of seashells. Eventually, she just lay down in the sand and stretched herself out with a sigh. This was oing to be a fun night.

It didn't take him that long to get out toward the beach. Remembering that supernatural speed of his, once he knew he wouldn't drop anything. Kin looked around, trying to find Ita anywhere, before spotting a blue sundress. That had to be her.

"Ita-chan?!" He shouted, waving one hand full of a bag that supplied all his paints. If she responded, then it was right of him to say her name, and not go up there and instantly start talking about nonsense.

But he did slowly make his trip through the sand, as if it was really nothing. Ah, the grace of being undead. He didn't really notice how easy it was to walk through sand lately, but if anyone said something, well, then he might notice it. Almost like showing what a skateboarder does and trying to watch him doing it again. He'll try to feel what his feet were doing and not concentrating on the spin before him.

Ita-chan? That was so adorable! Sitting up, she waved at him. As he made his way over, she got to her feet and brushed the sand off her skirt. Soon as he was close, she went over and gave him a quick peck on the lips. He was so sweet, she couldn't imagine doing more than that as a greeting. She didn't want to scare him off.

Standing back and twirling, she asked, "I hope this is ok. I didn't know what would be best for a portrait, but blue usually looks good on me..." The elemental smiled shyly. To be honest, she couldn't stop smiling. This was about the coolest thing anyone had ever done with her!

His mannerism will always be old-fashioned in his world. As long as someone tolerated it and loved it, then it will flow like his native tongue tended to. Was always hard trying to get into this day and age of speaking to others', but when living in Japan, they still use the "san", "chan", and always saying last names when you're formally meeting someone. He used to do it during school as well. Changing to a place like this was like a new world!

Kin placed everything down when he finally got up to her. Bending down a little to receive the kiss, smiling brightly in return. Oh no, something like that would never scare him off. Not anymore at least. He was able to give her a quick hug before she pulled away. Once he knew someone a bit better, like Ita, everything about him started to change, show his true nature, and basically shine like he always did in the past.

"You look beautiful. Blue really does look good on you," he replied, smiling once again before turning his attention to his painting supplies. About to set everything up, when it dawned on him that he forgot a little stool, or something else for her to sit on. Biting at the plump bottom lip, Kin looked up with knitted eyebrows. It was hard hiding his emotions.

But when seeing a few rocks, the idea of her sitting there for the portrait would work perfectly! He looked to her, expression changing and all. If the whole light bulb in cartoons really happened there would be one above his head right now. "You wouldn't mind sitting on there?" He pointed toward the rocks, grabbing a few of his art supplies in the free hand, and then the other when she knew where to go.

She was more than happy to receive and return his hug. She loved being wrapped up in someone else's arms like that. Perhaps that was why, despite her desire to save herself for The One, she had no qualms about messing around otherwise. It was good to feel that intense surge of emotion and, well, the pleasure was pretty good, too.

"Thank you," she said softly. "Of course not!" And with that, she flounced over to the rocks, and climbed up, rather gracefully. Taking a seat and posing a bit, she asked, "Is this good? Am I sitting right?"

If Kin would have known she was saving herself for that special someone, well, all she would really be getting is little chaste kisses upon the cheek and hugs. Trying to get in the way of something amazing would be rude - plus he never thought he'd be that perfect someone for anyone, with all those failed relationships in the past.

As she went up onto the rocks, he was able to get everything out and ready. The canvas he was going to use rested on the easel, pencils and brushes resting on the little resting place the wooden thing had, and the paints, well, that was off to the side for now.

He looked up to her then, when hearing her. Squinting at her position before bringing one hand up and speaking as he tried to direct her how he wanted her. "Can you lean a little bit forward? And give me the biggest smile you can," he smiled then, encouraging her.

Well, it was really up to Ita in the end as to who was The One. If they ever got physically intimate, she would probably tell him. If she had to say no, she usually wanted to explain why. It was her rule, and she didn't want her partner to think it was him.

Following his directions, she shifted her position and then gave him one of her megawatt smiles. It suddenly occurred to her she'd have to sit like this for hours. Rats. The blond had a mind that should have been on ritalin. Sitting that long would be torture. But she could do it for Kin.

It was up to Ita to pick whoever she wanted to be with. Wasn't like Kin would force anything upon her. Does he look like someone who could do that? If a butterfly suddenly died in front of him, he'd be upset and crack as if someone took a sledgehammer to his head. Kind of sad, but he was that sweet of a man. Well, undead man.

She had nothing to fear! He was going to be as quick about it as he possibly could. Having supernatural speed was a great quality now. Kin would be standing here sketching, painting, and hoping everything turned out well in the end.

When he looked up, to get ready to sketch, he noticed her smile and couldn't help but give one in return. His jaw always ended up sore after being around Ita.

"Perfect." He said then, still smiling as he looked down at the canvas and started to sketch, using that speed as well. He looked up every so often to see if he was doing everything right. "I might use you for more painting in the future, if you wouldn't mind." Making small talk always made the time go by faster. Hopefully she thought so too.

Ita would never have thought of Kin like that! But she didn't want him to think he was being rejected because of something he'd done. Nope, her personal rule was not meant for that.

"I'd love that!" she exclaimed, totally ruining her pose as she moved excitedly. Remembering herself quickly though, she resumed her original pose as quickly as possible.

And to be honest, theoretically, her jaw should have been sore all the time, the way she smiled. And while she'd feel bad to know he was in pain, she'd be happy to know she was making his life a little brighter.
