Week Twenty: Friday
Who: Alice, and Vivian
Where: The Pit
When: Night, duh.
What: It's about damn time these two hung out.

It was safe to say that Vivian was a brat. That was even more evident to herself, now that she had been exposed to high quality, tailored clothing. She'd managed to pop over to Waters Couture and Chantal, and been fitted for the clothing she was set to where for the photo shoot the following day. The experience had been a bit odd. Sort of like being a complete strangers barbie doll. They dressed you up, then pinned, and synched every thing they put on you. She had to admit though, the clothing had fit her far better than any others she'd ever worn before. Which was amazing, because like every other woman that existed, her body wasn't perfect matched to clothing bought in a store. It had spoiled her though. She was now looking for some way to make enough money, so that all the clothing that followed could be tailored as well. Investments maybe?

"Pleeeaaassseee?" She purred against his ear. "I'll bring you your drinks personally the rest of the night. Or... I can get you the number of the blond dancer you've been drooling over. How about that?" Her arms hung lose around the neck of the dj, the front of her body pressed to his back, as she pleaded for him to play a bit of Type O Negative for her. She was going to be there till late in the am, so why shouldn't she get to make a few request? "Yes? Oh, thank you! You're an absolute peach, lovey. I'll have the number for you before the end of the night, I promise." Smiling brightly, she planted a kiss to the side of his face, then released him. She hadn't even made it back to the bar when the music she'd been aching for began playing. With one hand holding her bowler hat down on her head, she danced her way threw the throbbing crowd on the floor. Friday really was one of the best nights. Everyone eager to get out, and release that pent up energy from the week. It was amazing. It didn't hurt that she'd dressed to kill that night either.

With her bright red lips, and thick black lashes, she appeared to look like something out of A Clockwork Orange. Which wasn't a bad thing in her opinion. The book had been fascinating, and the movie was a Kubrick classic. Though, the Shinning was still her all time favorite of his. Who didn't want to resemble a very creepy, yet some what hot psychopath? Then again, she had been called strange on more than one occasion in her life. "I'm coming! Don't you see me heading that way?" Less experienced bartenders didn't seem to care for others wandering off for a moment. Easily overwhelmed, poor things.

"Don't get your knickers in a twist. That's tequila... You're making a Vesper, right? You need Vodka, not Tequila, love." Sighing, she butted the girl out of the way, taking over the preparation of the drink for the awaiting customer. "Don't leave, watch. You're learning for a reason, right?" She couldn't be too hard on the trainee. She had been one once, and if it hadn't been the for the patience of her fellow employees both at the Dead Horse, and here, she wouldn't have become the kickass bartender she was. "Now you need gin." Plucking another bottle from beneath the bar, she added the last chemical to the cocktail. "There you are." When the customer passed over the pay, she turned to the trainee, "He's tipped you, congratulations." Grinning, she quickly made her way down the bar, picking up her momentarily forgotten section of bar.

To say Alice had been lying low would be an understatement. The poor girl had been absolutely swamped with all the assigned work from her classes and she could barely find time for herself nowadays. As much as she enjoyed being in the education environment, she was actually starting to regret taking on as many classes as she had. She’d make sure to take on a lighter load next semester. When she first arrived at Halcyon, she hadn’t expected to make as many friends as she had and was starting to feel bad that she wasn’t able to make time for them. She didn’t want them thinking she was avoiding them or anything so when Lily suggested she take a break from the books, Alice decided to go along. Besides, she had the entire weekend to play catch up.

Alice had been meaning to check out The Loft and the Pit back when it was still known as Heaven and Hell, but never had the chance to until now. That was a total lie. She knew she could just swing by the place anytime she wanted. She was just too chicken to go alone. So she was lying again when she said she was being dragged out by Lily. Well, technically she was being dragged out. Alice barely had any time to get fully dressed before her hand was grasped and she was pulled along off of school grounds and into a cab.

The two girls weren’t waiting in line for long and Alice gave her surroundings a thorough look around as they made their way deeper into the club. A night out at the club wasn’t really her idea of a good time, but she’d try her best to enjoy herself. Plus, she now had the opportunity to pay a certain vampire a visit. So it didn’t bother her too much when she got separated from Lily as they made their way down into The Pit. She knew exactly where the younger girl was heading anyway.

Shrugging her shoulders and adjusting the barrette atop her head, Alice carefully squeezed pass the sweaty mess of bodies. She ignored the odd looks that were flashed her way. She knew her outfit for the night better fitted the crowd that occupied the room upstairs, but she didn’t care. There wasn’t anyone she was trying to impress. Alice took a look up and down the bar before planting herself in an empty seat and resting her arms on the bar top. It didn’t take her long to spot the familiar looking face. Seeing Vivian was currently busy working with another customer, Alice decided to wait until the woman spotted her. For now, she’d sit and take in the sights. Wasn’t like she had anywhere else to be and she had a feeling she’d end up heading back to her room alone.

There was a face she hadn't expected seeing within the walls of the club for some time, and certainly not alone. Not that Vivian knew all of the students who attended Halcyon, but at the moment, no one really seemed to be holding Alice's attention, so she just assumed that she was solo for the moment. Perhaps it was that for so long, she'd been anticipating her visit to be associated with what she, and the demon had spoken about. Plans that had been officially canceled just days before. So, maybe not seeing the demon on her arm made it all a little strange.

A pair of pale hands came to rest on the bar before the girl. "Well, well. Colored me surprised to see you here." Vivian grinned, folding her arms beneath her chest, as she leaned against the bar top. "What brings you here, Alice?" She questioned, her eyes sweeping quickly over the surrounding group, just to be sure that she really was alone, and that any conversation they shared wouldn't be interrupting something more, or be interrupted it's self. Her attention once more settled on the mortal. "Did you come to visit little ol' me? I do hope, considering you've been promising me for months now." It was all said with a teasing smile.

"How about a drink? It would be a true shame not to take advantage of the best bartender that Hell--er The Pit has to offer, when she is standing right in front of you." Flirt, that was what she was. A habit that she'd never be able to shake. Thankfully, she knew when to stop, and knew to never cross that line. After all, she was lucky enough having such a patient girlfriend. Not many would allow, or tolerate the way she behaved at times.

Alice let her legs dangle from the bar stool as she continued to survey the club and its occupants. Her eyes lingered for a moment at the strippers in the corner and as they slowly wandered over to catch a couple doing what she thought looked like sex, they quickly shot down to stare at the tips of her toes. She wasn’t really expecting to see something like that going on out in public. In fact, she wasn’t sure on what to expect during her first visit to The Pit. Maybe the next time she decided to stop by, she would stay upstairs where things were a little tamer.

When she heard what sounded like someone that was talking to her, Alice looked up from her feet and spotted the vampire she was waiting for. Her face instantly brightened as a smile played across her lips. “Lily said I needed to take a break from studying, so she dragged me out,” she said with ease and a shrug. That usual shyness was nowhere to be found. Maybe it was the fact that Vivian had been one of the few people to befriend Alice upon her arrival, but she felt strangely comfortable around the older woman. “Since we ended up getting separated, I thought I’d pay you a visit. Since I did promised, like you said.”

“Sure,” she said and flashed another warm smile. Alice usually wasn’t one to indulge in beverages of the alcoholic sort, but she couldn’t deny the offer from the best bartender in The Pit. Hopefully Vivian remembered that she was a light weight though. She didn’t want to end up trying to stumble her way back home alone and all. “How’s work been treating you?”

It wasn't too strange to see all sorts of explicit acts taking place in the club. It had been normal for Hell, and when the club changed owners, Vivian thought tolerance for some things would be out the window. Yet, not much had really changed. The decor, yes, and the addition of the strip club. Other than that, it was as it had always been. Those people, she wasn't so sure of. It didn't bother her in the slightest to witness such a thing, but she didn't think that she would ever behave in such a way. Who would have ever thought she of all people would have morals. Maybe not morals, but fucking in public for attention, now that was just tacky.

"Oh Lily is here? That was good of her to drag you out. I'm in agreement that you should be out more, having fun. That's what young people ought to be doing." Vivian hadn't seen the vampire outside of class, or the common room in some time. Yet, she wasn't often in her thoughts. Perhaps because she was one of the few people who knew what it was like to have one's sire lurking so close by. That must be it, but... well, she felt it was something more, though, she couldn't decide just what. "Aww, I'm glad you did. My feelings would have been hurt otherwise." Vivian teased

She had it in mind what she would make the girl, and that little voice in the back of her head to to speak up, and remind her that the extra kick wasn't needed. Light weight, yes, human was another factor. As she mixed the drink, her shoulders gave a light shrug. "I can't complain. It's been very busy. All the changes, and the dancers have brought in quite a bit more business. Never a slow moment." Which is what she preferred. She couldn't stand being at work, and not having anything to do. Those were the nights she annoyed the DJ the most. "Here you are. A Bellini. It's not too strong, and taste lovely." She said, placing the cocktail on the bar top.

It might not have been strange for someone who was used to seeing such explicit acts, but for a girl like Alice, it was a bit…awkward. She was familiar and slightly knowledgeable about the things that went on behind closed doors, and while she was still a virgin herself, she didn’t understand the appeal of public sex. She agreed that it was tacky – maybe even a little disrespectful. Nobody wanted to see that sort of thing when they went out. At least not Alice. Were their hormones going that crazy that they couldn’t wait a few minutes to get a room or something? People these days… She’d never really understand some of them.

Vivian was right about young people being out and enjoying themselves. Alice really did want to do as such, but with as many classes she had and those pesky finals slowly creeping up, she just couldn’t find any time. “When is Lily not here?” That girl really needed to cut back on the partying. Even if she was a vampire now, wasn’t it still possible to get addicted to those illegal substances she was so fond of? “She really knows how to enjoy herself,” she said with a laugh. They might not know each other too well, but besides all that, Alice was still slightly worried for her friend.

“That’s good then. It means you get to go home with a bigger paycheck too right?” Alice eyed the glass in front of her and brought it to her lips slowly. She took a quick whiff of the contents before tilting the glass back for a sip. It was sweet enough to cover any of that alcohol flavor she disliked and the fizz tickled the tip of her nose, making her smile and giggle softly. “I like it. My compliments to the chef,” she said with a chuckle and nod of approval. She took another sip before placing the drink back down on the bar top as she let the tip of her index finger run along the rim of the glass.

Exactly, if people wanted to witness others fucking, they'd pay to see such a show. There were places that catered to that sort of thing. Or, if you were cheap, there was always the oh so handy porno that could be viewed at any time. Vivian didn't think it was an issue of hormones being out of control... unless they were weres, and the full moon was soon. She had seen some rather odd, and questionable behavior from them. It was more likely than not, just a plea for attention. Everyone sought it in the own way. Most were far more subtle than that though. Even she. Yes, she was brazen for the most part, but she never gave it all away at first glance.

"Hmm, good point." Vivian said with a chuckle. It was true that she saw the vampire here quite often, but she didn't always get the chance to say hello. Thankfully, their shared classes gave them time to make up for any rush at the club that might have kept them from being friendly. "I suppose that was the whole life style she was used to... the entertainment industry. Everyone is into partying, drugs, drinking. The works." She'd seen enough musicians shoot up, smoke, or snort something before, or after a performance to know by now. Another little perk of working in this sort of place. "At least now she can do it, without having to worry about it effecting her too badly." Yeah, it could still effect her judgement.

She nodded, "Oh absolutely. You'd be amused how much liquid courage some of these guys need to build up the courage to hit on a stripper." Some of the men seemed to think they could end up taking the girls home with them. Truth was, you had to have some serious skill to do that, and she had yet to see it any where on the island. "Yeah? Good, glad it wasn't too much, or not enough. People think that it's easy serving none drinkers, because they really don't know what to expect. I think it's more difficult. You run the risk of turning them off at the first drink. I'd hate to ruin your first time with me, love. It has to be absolutely perfect." Vivian said with a mischievous grin, casting a wink in the girls direction.
