Week Eighteen: Friday
Who: Ita and Kin
Where: Starting at the school and then off to The loft and the Pit
When: After classes

After his last class of the night, Kin hurried out of that room like a bolt of lightening. He had things to make, get ready, and meet Ita out front of the school. Was he stressing? Nooo, of course not!

Yes, yes, he was.

He was just trying to ignore it - like he tries to ignore every other emotion ( besides happiness ).

The books he had were thrown onto his bed. They will be picked up later at the whole date. A date. He was going on a date. This was how long? Too long. It was normal for him to laugh throughout the whole process of getting dressed, right? He was nervous! It had to be normal. And what he wore was a simple white buttoned up shirt - short sleeved, being it still summer and all. Black pair of jeans, though they were a bit ripped at the knees and thighs. She wouldn't mind, would she? The shirt was tucked in, so, he was looking a little presentable for a date. Even the black boots worked. Hopefully.

After getting ready which he didn't think would take over an hour, he ran down toward the kitchen to make the different types of mochi. The blood ones were made first, since those would be the simplest. Strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate went next. He even brought down a little cooler to keep them in, since ice cream was being put into the middle of that rice pastry. There was a smile upon his lips the whole time he was cooking. If he wanted to, Kin could have done all of this with his eyes closed. Been awhile, but his Grandmother always made him help her make them.

All the different mochi were placed in the container, closed tight, and put into the fridge for the time being. Cleaning the mess he made was the first thing on his mind right now. And when he looked up at the clock as he scrubbed down the counters, the longest sentence he ever said with more than one curse word came spilling out in Japanese. With the rag thrown into the sink, he grabbed the container from the fridge, slammed the door shut, and rushed his way toward the front of the school.

Hopefully he wasn't late. Hopefully she wasn't sitting out there and witing for him. And hopefully she'll like the little present he packed into his back pocket before leaving his room.

Ita was not stressed. She did not stress about hardly anything - she was much too laid back to become stressed. It probably had more to do with her dauntlessness than being laid back, since she could be a bit high strung. She was a passionate person, but she did not sweat the small things. She liked Kin, and was looking forward to having a good evening with him.

Earlier in the day, Ita had made the main course for tonight. To go with the mochi, she had decided to go with some onigiri in three flavors - mixed with furikake, stuffed with salmon and wrapped with nori, and stuffed with umeboshi and dusted with yukari. Luckily, other than cooking the rice, most of the prep was completed ahead of time since she just bought most of the fillings and toppings already cooked or prepared. The little rice balls were the perfect light dinner, especially since there was one of each flavor for each of them.

After class, she had also rushed back to her room to get ready, slipping into a pretty blue and white striped dress with a corset-style bodice and simple white sandals. Leaving her hair down, it only took a few moments to apply some sheer gloss and mascara and she was set to go.

Hurrying down to the kitchen, it was amazing she didn't bump into Kin, but she didn't, and she grabbed the onigiri from the fridge, complete in a cute little bento box (it was even traditionally wrapped in a kerchief). So maybe she'd done a little bit of research to make the meal as genuine as possible... She hoped Kin would be pleased.

Rushing again to make it to the front door, just in time to see it close behind Kin. Grinning, she hurried even more and, out of breath, opened the door and caught up to him. Standing on tiptoe, she leaned up and kissed him on the cheek; too breathless to say much of anything, she just grinned at him.

If Kin knew Ita was right behind him, he would’ve stopped and allowed her to catch up with him. But no, he was off in his own little world, really thinking he was totally late, and he’d hear something playful from her.

But when her presence was known behind him, he instantly turned, about to say something, before falling right into that kiss upon his cheek. Whatever he was about to say disappeared like someone let out the air in a colorful balloon. He was slowly starting to smile like a complete dork, one hand coming up to touch at his cheek – as if his first crush gave him a kiss for no reason at all. And he had to ask, “What was that for?” That big smile of his was given, wanting to do the same thing, but would it be bad? He would blush; no doubt about that.

That was when he was really able to get a good look at how she looked. Beautiful. That is all he could really think. “Wow. You look.. Beautiful, Ita. Blue really brings out your eyes.” Doing the whole look over like men did to every woman was done, but in the sweetest way it could ever be done. Was that even possible for a man? Kin somehow knew how to do it, made every girl he used to date fan themselves as if he was undressing them with his eyes. He wasn’t doing that now! Good heavens no! He was admiring the garments and how the lovely girl before him presented herself. And look how he dressed… Like some high school boy going out on a date.

He had to remind himself this was a date. The first one he had been on in how long? No need to think about the year, he thought.

Holding out his hand, he signaled that he wanted hers, and before she could really do anything; he took it. Only to look down and see what was in her other hand. He couldn’t help but chuckle at the sight! A bento box, huh? How adorable. And his mochi was in nothing but a container that he was trying to keep cold. “Well, shall we find a spot? I can feel the ice cream slowly start to melt.” How he felt that was probably through his supernatural gifts. Was he going to argue about that? Most likely. But for now, he was going to enjoy his night with Ita, and keep on smiling throughout it.

Grinning, Ita couldn't help but think how adorable it was when he touched his cheek where she kissed him like that. What an adorable guy! "Well," she answered with a slightly mischievous grin, "I think it's customary to give a cute guy a kiss on the cheek as greeting when he's taking you out for the evening, don't you?"

Blushing a bit at the compliment, she swayed a little so the skirt flared a bit and answered softly, "Thank you." Looking up to meet his eyes, she definitely noticed his look, but it wasn't a creepy look like some men gave, and she appreciated that. It was like, he was looking at a piece of art, or something precious. It was a gentle look, not lascivious.

"Oh, definitely. I think there's a pretty field with lots of wildflowers that way," she pointed. "And it's not far, just through those trees." Easily accepting his hand in her own, she smiled softly. Speaking as if they were plotting something devious, she added, "And I think we should eat dessert first, especially if it's melting."

Kin took in a deep breath while he wielded himself not to blush – it was getting a bit hard with her talking after the kiss was given. All he did (to make it not known) was look down and chuckle softly, before moving his attention back to her. “Of course,” he replied, smiling that big dorky smile of his.

It did feel like they were doing something illegal. The feeling made little shivers run down his spine, squeezing her hand in the process, but hoping she thought that was just for no reason at all. As he looked forward, squinting his eyes to see through the fog, Kin could see where she was pointing. “Oh, back there. What a nice place to pick.” He looked to Ita and smiled happily, and then down toward the container within his hand. “Good idea.” This really was, if they didn’t eat the mochi now, it would certainly melt, and he would feel horrible afterwards; putting in all that work for nothing.

With a little tug on her hand, he signaled that he was about to walk the way she pointed. He didn’t want to start walking and have her trip or something. And as they made their way, those amber eyes of his kept looking through the dark, finding it hard with the fog, but he was trying. The wildflowers were in view (finally). There was a moment where he was about to freak, thinking he got them lost.

He turned to her then, giving a little frown. “You don’t mind sitting on broken tree trunks, do you?” The one thing he forgot was a blanket. But the only reason he could think of not bringing one was because of where they were going after this dinner. Though, what were they going to do with the containers they brought with the food in it? Whoops. Thinking forward was never one of his best qualities.

His dorky smile made her want to give him a quick giggly peck on the lips, but she restrained herself. She should save some kissing for during or after the date, shouldn't she?

Smiling at the hand squeeze, she squeezed his in response. He was such a sweet guy. A cute nerd, she thought. Ita likewise didn't want all his work to go to waste - and eating the ice cream first was such a treat. Made it just a bit more delicious to eat it like that, breaking the rules.

It's a good thing he gave her that little tug - she did have the tendency to be a bit clumsy, like when she splatted on her face when Jillian came to see her. She did that kind of thing all the time. Noticing Kin's difficulty, Ita concentrated on swirling the fog away from them - much more difficult to do with the water droplets being so minuscule. She even began to pant a bit, concentrating so hard. Smiling weakly she said with a shrug, "I tried? But I don't wanna get a headache before we even get to the club."

"Oh no, not at all." With that, she sat prettily on a stump, the skirt of her dress draping down nicely on either side. Setting the bento box down, she waited eagerly for Kin to get the mochi out.

Saving kisses for occasions for during or after the date is like a law. No idea where it was created, but almost every teen or adult knew about these things. Maybe they were implanted into their brains when they were just babies. Wouldn't be surprising if that was true.

Kin felt the responding squeeze, causing him to look back to her and smile softly, but also almost trip on something. It wasn't a big display of a trip, just an odd footing right then and there, which he was easily able to correct in a matter of seconds (it felt more like minutes to him). A light snort was given because of his clumsy ways and kept walking in the direction of where they were going.

Still finding it hard with the fog, he noticed something was happening, and could only think of who was doing it. He looked to Ita and frowned slightly, hearing her panting concerned him. "You did." he replied, smiling softly to reassure her. "And I really wouldn't want you to get a headache. I'll be buying you drinks, it will get worse then." Would that even stand as a joke? Hopefully he made her laugh, snort, or giggle. Something would be nice instead of silence!

And thank god, she didn't care sitting on a stump. He, on the other hand, had to brush off some branch and other things that trees liked to slip from their branches, before sitting down and getting comfortable. "Good. For a moment there, I thought you wouldn't like sitting on nature." Kin smiled brightly and brought the container up, opening the lead to show off all the mochi inside. "The red ones are mine. Just so you don't pick one up and eat it." It was best to warn her before something bad happened.

Ita giggled lightly at his misstep, mostly because she did similar things rather often. The snort caused her giggling to renew, only because it was so cute. The more she hung around Kin, the more sure she was of his cuteness.

Smiling softly at his assurances, she had to laugh at his comment. "Mmm. I'll be sure to drink water. Key to avoiding hangovers," she nodded fervently. Especially for a water elemental - dehydration was very bad. And alcohol was a diuretic, so water was key.

Laughing, the elemental was more than a little amused. "I am nature," she grinned. "Well, a part of it." Shaking her head, she looked into the container, eyeing the little treats hungrily. "Mmm. Thanks for the warning." Picking up one of the other ones, she took a bite and closed her eyes. "Mmmm," she practically moaned. "So good!"

Chewing silently, she watched her companion carefully. Finally deciding to broach the topic, she hoped it wouldn't kill the mood. Especially since their date was just beginning. "You know, you could bite me if you wanted." There, she said it. Watching him carefully, she hoped she didn't freak him out. Even more, the young woman hoped he didn't think she was a weirdo. It wasn't that she had some fetish for being bitten - more like she was curious, and if he wanted to, she didn't want it to be awkward for him. Whatever, it was done. It was up to him to react.

The more they hung out, the more Kin started to slowly open up and become the person he was before everything went down hill. Well, the whole being shy at first; that was natural, but everything else was how it always was.

Guess hanging out with people and not being a hermit for the rest of his life was better.

And here he thought locking himself in his room was healthy..

He couldn't help but laugh when she did. It just came out. There was explanation, it just happened. Maybe there was that whole science about the human mind and crap - but Kin wasn't all that human anymore. So, where does any of that science come into play? A dead body walking about and drinking blood is a mystery. Then that just gets you into the whole zombie thing. That will be for another day.

"True. Water is part of nature.." Whoops. He felt a little stupid but it quickly disappeared. And drinking water when alcohol is floating about your system is the best thing to do. So is eating bread, but in her case, water would be the best thing. Were they going to get trashed tonight? Kin wasn't looking forward to that. If it happens, it happens.

After she took a mochi, he did too - the first blood one that was in view. He took one single bite and it was like Heaven came out of nowhere and washed him in total bliss. The look was upon his face before he took another bite. Trying to not eat is so fast. Brain freeze still could happen; and that is something he really wasn't looking forward to (even if he reached for a green tea one right after the first). "I have to admit," he started, biting into the a green one, "I did pretty damn good on these. Didn't think they would come out right because I was trying to rush."

But that's when everything went silent.

It was hard to explain, but what she said made the curtain of quietness wrap around them. Yeah, he was shocked that she randomly said that. The look was upon his face as he had a last piece of his second mochi against his lips. Not trying to waste the thing, he popped it into his mouth, and chewed it as fast as he could before answering her, "Is there any reason as to why you would ask?" He was curious to know why. The first thought popped into his head that Ita was curious. Kin wouldn't blame her. The whole thing came out of nowhere like a rock hit the side of his head. Not a bad thing - oh no.

Ita certainly wasn't planning on getting trashed. But even getting a little buzzed meant she needed to drink plenty of water. And it didn't take much to get her buzzed. Besides, being fall-down drunk was no fun - couldn't dance if you couldn't stand. Although plenty of people thought it was possible. Aside from that, she knew that she tended to 'mother' her friends who got stupid drunk, and that was no fun. She didn't want Kin to have to look after her like that, so she didn't plan on being stupid.

"Oh, they're awesome. Nothing to worry about," she smiled. But then, she wanted to smack herself in the face. Stupid, stupid, stupid girl! Why'd she have to even suggest it? Well, first of all, she was curious. Secondly, she always seemed a bit attracted to danger. Pausing, she tried to articulate an intelligent reason. She knew she thought that somehow it would help him. But how? Oh! "Well, I don't know. I don't know what the blood bags are like, but I can't imagine they're that great. Like frozen veggies to fresh veggies. And, well, I dunno. You aren't happy with what you are, I think," she continued softly, looking down for a moment before glancing back up. "I don't think that's right. You shouldn't have to feel ashamed or whatever."

There, that sounded pretty good. And it was true. She didn't want him to feel ashamed. He was such a great person - being a vampire was only a part of who he was, and he shouldn't feel down on himself because of it. Suddenly, a thought struck her. "You-you don't have to kill the person to feed from them, do you?" Oh great, maybe she just offered for him to kill her. No wonder he seemed so uncomfortable! Or perhaps she should just pay more attention in her classes.

If he came down to Kin taking care of Ita by the end of the night because she might have gotten a little too carried away with drinking - really wouldn't have bothered him. What friends he remembered having, were the ones he took care of as if they were part of his family. And having no one within his life that he left behind - a new family was something to think about. But it was hard to really speak to people around this school. Look at where he got so far.

He was smiling the whole time she spoke, picking another piece of ice cream, and nibbling at it while hiding what kept growing upon his face. He was about to speak, but she kept talking, causing him to shake his head and chuckle a little. "You don't have to kill them. I don't see why some vampires do, actually," he replied, holding out the container to see if she wanted anymore, before looking down toward the bento box.

"I guess some of the vampires find pleasure killing the weak. There are times, when they don't go for days without feeding, they get a little carried away. It happens. That I can understand.." Kin looked up to Ita and laughed softly. There he went, babbling about something she probably didn't care about. "Sorry about that. I say I hate being what I am, yet I know so much. I love researching a lot.." A little shurg was given before he continued, "I only hate what I am because of who made me. I didn't really ask for it, but then there are a lot of students here who were the same. And you're right, the blood bags are horrible. To me, it tastes like you left candy in a wrapper too long, and all you can taste is candy and wrapper." He made a face while shaking his head. The only thing that was a surprise was... He actually laughed after what he said.

The relief definitely showed on her face when Kin explained that vampires didn't have to kill their food source to feed. That was a good thing to explain. Nodding in agreement, she, too, couldn't understand why a vampire would kill if they could avoid it. But then, vampires were people, and just like every other person, they could be good or evil.

"Well, in that case, my offer stands. If you want to, you can. I won't mind." Reaching into the cooler again, she grabbed another mochi and nibbled away at it. She'd always been lucky enough to never get brain freeze, so she could eat ice cream as quickly as she wanted. Not that she ever really just wolfed anything down - that would spoil the enjoyment. "These are really awesome, Kin. You'll have to show me how to make them." Not that she didn't get the general idea - she just didn't know how to make the bean paste dough.

Not wanting to ruin dinner, when the vampire finished his mochi, the blond suggested, "How about the onigiri? Don't want to eat everything but the actual dinner." If she was still hungry, she'd have some more mochi afterward. Too bad she didn't control ice - that would be an air elemental. Well, the cold part anyway. Keep the sweet treat from melting.

When Ita took another piece of mochi, he took that as a cue to close the container up and put it off to the side. The onigiri sounded great right now, plus, Kin wanted to see how she made it. His grandmother made the best onigiri back in the day, no one was able to live up to her cooking skills. But ever since he met the water elemental, he was slowly starting to question his grandmother and if she wasn't the only great cook out there.

He smiled, though looking down and at his shoes. What could you say to something like that? "Oh, great! Maybe one of these nights we should get together so I can bite you, what do you say?!" No. That didn't sound all that great. How about; "I'll think about that, okay? You're very sweet to even offer something like that." Kin reached out and took her hand right then and there, squeezing it as gently as he could while that smile grew a little wider. He was saying the truth when he finally was able to pick the right thing to say. Would she be okay with him thinking about it?

And as he let her hand go, a nod was given to what she said. "Of course. My grandmother taught me how to do it, but then my mother showed me a different way. So, I have two versions of it locked up in here," he pointed toward his head then, a soft chuckle purring forth as if he was watching the memory of the two women who influenced him the most like a movie.

"Now, how about some of that onigiri? I'd love to dance off all this food real soon." Kin rubbed both of his hands together then. Trying to get this odd feeling out of the air and really concentrate on what they were doing out here for.

She did totally understand. It was hard for him to be what he was, and she had some sort of vague idea (from too many episodes of Buffy) that sex, or at least fooling around of some sort, would be involved. It always seemed rather erotic on TV, and they'd only kissed a couple of times. Jumping from kissing to, well, drinking, seemed a bit big. Smiling gently at the compliment, she nodded, "Yeah, that's fine."

"Ooo! I love having two recipes like that! Especially with homecooking - it's so interesting how the same dish can be made in different ways." At his chuckle, she couldn't help but give him a gentle smile. She could tell he was thinking happy thoughts.

Chuckling, Ita couldn't agree more. "I know! This dress does the perfect twirly thing when I move."

Kin picked up the bento Ita prepared for them both. A happy little smile upon his lips as he undid the whole thing, opening the lid and looking at all the different ones that were there. It couldn't be helped that a snort like chuckle escaped. She did pretty well at them!

Picking one up, he took a little bite out of it, an 'mmm' sound soon following. Holding the bento box out toward her, hoping she'll take one before they could get this date really on the role. What she said about her skirt twirling made him laugh around the food in his mouth. The thought was cute, and he really couldn't wait for that to happen. "You'll grab a lot of attention if that happens." He responded, nibbling away at the onigiri.

But eating all that mochi had him full after finishing off the first thing of rice. Putting the lid back on, so bugs or other things tried to get into it, he looked to her and smiled softly. "Whenever you feel like going to the club, just tell me. I don't want to look like I'm being impatient." Even though, deep down, he was. Dancing wasn't really one of his things, but if he got a little tipsy - anyone could get him out on the dance floor.

The smile and chuckle made Ita smile in return. She could tell he appreciated the food, and the bento box, and she was glad she made him pleased.

Grabbing a rice roll for herself, she nibbled away, too. "Mmm, I'm glad they came out well. I've not made these often." Giggling at his comment, she chirped, "Well, I already have your attention and that's all that matters tonight." And it was true. She only cared for Kin's attention tonight.

Sneaking another onigiri before he closed the lid, she jumped up to go at his words. "Well, let's go then." Yep, even though she was a little thing, she could pack away the food like nobody's business. Wiping little branches and such off her skirt, she held out her hand for his.

Everything that they were doing Kin was appreciating! He hasn't been on a date in almost years, if you want to count out one night stands, but those were never counted as dates to begin with. Unless you want to add the whole dinner first, and then hotel room.

He smiled as he watched her eat, though looking off to the side then so he wasn't staring at her impolitely. His fingers started to drum lightly on his pants while he watched nature, the fog getting in the way slightly, but the scenery was still beautiful. This picture would look amazing upon canvas. If only he brought his digital camera with him.

It couldn't be helped that her jumping up had him jumping a little in his spot. Trying to hide it with a big smile, and getting up as well, he took her hand then, squeezing just a little to tell her they were about to start walking. "All right." Kin chuckled softly, watching her brush the branches from her skirt, having him doing the same to his butt. But once he was done, he started to make their way out of the woods. Holding both containers to be the nice gentleman, and even flag down a taxi to get them there faster.

Tonight he was going to pay for everything. Thats how dates were suppose to go. The man pays for whatever he and his partner do.

Ita returned the squeeze on her hand, and started walking with him. It really was beautiful out - the fog was a kind of hauntingly beautiful, and it was serene and peaceful to her. Once they were in the taxi, she took his hand in both of hers, and snuggled up to him. That's why they made a middle seat!

When the cab stopped, she moved to open her purse. "How much do I owe?" It was a polite way of asking if they were going Dutch or not. She'd never say no if the guy wanted to pay, but it was only polite to offer - they were both enjoying the even.

Kin was off in his own little world during their trip to the club, though knowing she was there had his hand squeezing her's every so often, smiling as she snuggled close, even trying to do the same in an awkward, causing a slight flush to heat his neck. Thankfully it didn't go toward his cheeks; he'd look like a ripe cherry.

Being snapped out of his trance wasn't hard, but being near Ita and what she said, well, that easily had his hand reaching for her's in that speed he was only ever used to it. Noticing he did it made him apologize silently; hopefully she heard. He arched his back to grab his wallet from the back pocket, taking out what the cabbie wanted, telling the man to keep the change before he got out to get the door for her.

It didn't dawn on him how packed this place was. Maybe coming to opening night was a big mistake. Turning back now would be stupid, probably make him look like a coward as well. Suck it up, Kin, just give her a wonderful night and everything will be just fine.

And when Ita was finally out, his hand still holding her's. Kin slowly made their way toward the doors. Little jitters going through him due to nervousness, but he was doing his best to ignore it, and hope it didn't become visible for her to feel.

Ita was ok with him spacing off. And the awkward attempt at cuddling was adorable, while each little squeeze made her nuzzle his neck.

Surprised at the speed with which he moved, Ita froze for a moment, and at the whispered apology, she smiled. Of course she heard - she had senses as keen as his, just not the speed. And when he held the door for her, her smile widened and she ofered up her hand to helped out.

Ita didn't care how packed it was. She thrived on being around and with people. Besides she only cared about Kin's company. Everyone else would be background noise. She was so wrapped up in her own excitement, she didn't notice Kin's nervousness. And even if she did, she wouldn't have cared. In fact, she might have thought it cute.

As soon as they were inside, she made a beeline for the bar, pulling Kin along with her. "I'll have a Sex on the Beach, please," she giggled. The name amused her for multiple reasons, not the least of which was its reference to the beach. Once her order, and Kin's if he ordered, she asked, "So, dancing or sitting for now?"

Even though he has been in a school full of creatures that could be like him, faster than him, and even stronger than him, still had to dawn on him. Kin still wanted to forget what he was, though he was so used to using what he was given, and expecting everyone else to be as normal as him. He wasn't a demon that drank blood, burn from the touch of sunlight, plus almost everything else the tales have told; well, there were some that were just myth.

Ita on the other hand, she was myth to him. There were still so many questions he wanted to ask her! Tonight wasn't the night. He didn't want to bombard her with this or that, what she could do, what she couldn't do - questions upon questions that kept him awake. They were even bothering him now as they walked into the club. The crowd, causing his anxious feeling to crawl upon his skin like little ants. He was giving his all not to freak out and start to huddle in on himself, scratch at his skin as well. He should be proud of himself, instead of cursing up and down in japanese under his breath.

He allowed her to pull him this way and that to get to the bar. A drink, right now, was the greatest idea she came up with. He would have never thought that! But the type of drink she asked for made his eyes slightly widen, even a slight blush to come to his cheeks. Thankfully it wasn't all that visible, well, hopefully. There was no mirror in sight. "I'll have a apple martini, please," he said then, after she made her order. Was it gay of him to order such a drink? The apple always tasted so sweet.

"Hmm.." Kin looked around, trying to figure something out to her question. What should they do? Drink first and than go downstairs to see what it looked like now? The upper part was nice, not too crowded, not too noisy - maybe going downstairs might be a bad idea. But he was curious. Stupid curiosity always killed the cat. "We can sit down for now. I don't want your drink spilling all over that pretty dress," he replied then, smiling toward her, before looking at the bartender when their drinks were down, shifting those amber eyes at his drink and almost wanting to return it.

Ita didn't think of him as Kin, a vampire, any more than she thought of herself as Ita, a water elemental. It was part of the definition of who she was, but not all that she was. She only used it to define herself here, because it was a novelty to be able to do so.

She would gladly have answered any and all of his questions. Even tonight! She loved talking about what she was, since it had been secret for so long. If she'd known he was uncomfortable, she would have offered to go somewhere else. She wanted him to enjoy the night as much as she did.

"Oh, I love Appletinis! They taste just like Jolly Ranchers. I don't like how a lot of drinks taste so strongly of alcohol. It's strong enough as it is."

"Awww," she cooed. It was sweet of him to think of her and her dress. "Let's go sit then." Automatically moving to pay for her drink, she would head to the tables once both were paid for, dragging Kin with her, yet again.

You would think being in a school full of supernatural students, anyone and everyone would feel completely at ease and comfortable in an enviorment like that, but not Kin, even though he was really, really trying to get used to it. Being there for two years should have helped, but he didn’t know that many people, plus hanging out was so odd to him.

It still was!

He was loving this date, if it is called a date… It is, right? Kin thought it was. Hopefully Ita thought it was too.

Once he got comfortable with his surroundings, then maybe, just maybe, he’ll be able to move about and not care if people thought his dancing was so off. Though, he’ll have to chug down several drinks, and ones that were a lot stronger than what he had in his hands right now.

What she said had him looking at his drink then. A jolly rancher? What was that? Candy wasn’t really his things – plus Japan had such odd things that were candy, everything that was in America would be even odder. Amazing how that could even be possible. “I never had a… jolly rancher before..” he finally replied, still looking down at his drink.

Would’ve been funny watching him spill the drink he just paid for, as he was being dragged off toward the tables. Wasn’t it suppose to be the man in charge of the whole dating scene? Looks like time has changed and he was off in the background of it. Kin couldn’t help but smile as he followed, allowing her to sit down first before he sat across from her, playing with the glass as he thought of some things. Where would he start with questions? Unless maybe tonight wasn’t the time. They should just enjoy themselves.

His eyes kept glancing toward the stairs that went down. Guess that was the pit? What was down there? He opened his mouth, about to ask if she was down there before, but then stopped himself and remembered it was the first night. Chuckling at himself, he shook his head and took a sip of his drink.

Of course it was a date! And Ita was loving it. They were out together to have a good time. Drinks to start, then maybe dancing. And they'd already had dinner.

"Oh, we'll have to get you some. An appletini tastes just like an apple Jolly Rancher. I don't usually like hard candy, but they're good once in a while.

Ita would have felt awful if she'd caused him to spill his drink. Luckily, they didn't. And it wasn't that she was taking charge so much; just that she was too excited to wait around for someone else to make decisions. Once she was seated, she sipped at her drink, her body already moving to the music, despite her seated position.

Looking over at the stairs as well, the blond explained excitedly, "I heard there's a strip club downstairs." Grinning, she took a sip from her drink. "I also heard they do amateur nights," she claimed scandalously.

Another date then? Though, would you really call getting candy a date? Well, they could go do something that would be fun, that would require picking up candy, and maybe even some ice cream. Mmm, that mochi was so good. Just thinking about it now was making him hungry for more.

Kin was off in his own little world while she was talking; mostly about the two of them and what they could do else while getting these jolly ranchers. But he did hear they were hard candy. Hard candy? Was that even appetizing? He couldn't help but wrinkle his nose at that. Not a fan of it. "Mm, no. When thinking about hard candy, it makes me think I'll break my teeth easily." Did he make a funny? It could be funny, since he lightly chuckled at his own little fear. But he still wouldn't mind trying one. As long as it was red and juicy. Ha ha.

His drink was sipped at as he stared at the stairs some more. Looking away every so often when someone would look his way, or Ita was talking about something. He was smiling the whole time while watching her dance in her seat. It was cute.

The stairs were his attention once again. Strip club? They had a strip club down there? With his eyebrows furrowing, he tried to think of what a strip club looked like. Was it like the ones on the television?

Wait...

Did she just say amateur nights?!

He whipped around to stare at you, a little wide eyed with shock. The way she said it made his mouth drop open like he saw a ghost. "Amateur night? Do you know when those would start? I hope not tonight. I wouldn't want to see a classmate down there..." He was trailing off while thinking about some of the girls in his classes. And also stating he wanted to go down there and check it out once they were ready. From what he could hear, over the bubbly music on this floor, was something he wouldn't really mind dancing to.

Of course there would be another date. Maybe candy would be involved, maybe it wouldn't. It didn't matter so long as she was with him. Giggling a little, she shook her head. "That's why you just suck on hard candy. Don't chew on it!" He was so adorable!

Oblivious to his watching her, she continued to move to the music. Now she was even swinging her feet a bit.

And that so was not the reaction she had meant to illicit. Laughing brilliantly, Ita explained suggestively, "See, cuz I was thinking that I could do it." Pausing a moment, she let her joke sink in before laughing. "I could totally pull it off," she added with a wink, and a sip of her drink. "Can we dance?"

Whatever they did next as a date would make him happy, be it candy or not. Knowing she still wanted to see him in such a fashion would make him happy; also showing that he was still in the swing of actually doing the whole dating scene.

Kin almost shoved his whole face into his martini glass - if that was even possible. The blush was slightly visible under his hair that came in front of his eyes, as he tried to sip at his drink, though having a little difficulty, since he was actually trying to drink and not pretend he was. Right. Right. Hard candy is something to suck on. Why did he even say that?! Blame it on being nervous. But it looked like he was being cute and not all that funny. Or maybe both. However she looked at it made him smile, because she giggled.

... Was she serious? Watching her even do something like, stripping in front of so many people, or possibly just him if that was allowed... Wait. Why was he even thinking that? This was their first date! Thinking thoughts like that was very, very ungentlemanly-like.

All Kin could really do was smile awkwardly, and try to laugh. What could you say to that? "Oh yes.~ I'd love to see you dance and get naked for me". Yeah. Sounding like a pervert was something she really needed to hear. But thankfully she changed the subject before she allowed him to fester in his odd thoughts. "You want to now?" He asked, pointing at this dance floor. "Of course we can." Without really asking where she wanted to go, he stood up and held his hand out for her.

No, she wasn't serious. Not totally. Being naked was not a problem for her. If her Aunt Lissa had not been around to instruct her parents, she probably would have never worn clothes until she went to school. For the elementals, it was natural to be nude. And, really, it wasn't as if she hadn't imagined some racey scenes with Kin. It wasn't impolite.

Giggling, she bounced to her feet and took his hand. Following his lead, she would move with him to the music when he began to dance.

Well, that would have never come to his mind as a question. He could understand some creatures that dealt with nature to be naked as often as they could. Even were-creatures for that matter. But that was just a myth so far in his books.

Might as well start asking some questions as he took her hand, squeezing it gently as he pulled her close. Being the gentleman Kin was, he brought her away from the table a little, stretching his arm out and up, and making her do a little twirl. The brightest smile was upon his lips as he brought his free hand toward her waist once she was done, really enjoying the show the skirt caused. If only they were in the 50's, he would have loved to do some of the dances back then with her.

"So," he started, pulling her close to him as he picked up on the beat of the song. "I take it all elementals have the whole inhuman strength, sight, and everything else that could classed as not normal, right?"

Ita giggled at the twirl, and made sure to spin just fast enough for the skirt to twirl. To be honest she would have loved to have danced with him like that. She didn't know how, really, but she could learn!

"Well... sort of," she smiled, leaning back enough to look him in the face to speak. "Water elements have great senses. I see and smell as well as other supernaturals, but I'm just your average strength. Just like a human." Looking off to the side, she thought back to what she needed to remember. "Earth elementals have strength... Wind elementals... have speed... And... I can't remember fire..." she concluded with a sheepish grin.

"What about you? Do vampires get any extra powers besides the usual supernatural package?" she was trying to be lighthearted, but not too flippant. She knew that Kin was not all that comfortable with his lot in life. Er, unlife.

Well, maybe in the near future as a date, he could teach her the ways of dancing. She looked like a girl who would have fun even if they both messed up; and yes, Kin would mess up, be it on purpose or not. It has been awhile since he did anything romantic with someone.

He held her close after the twirl, running his hands down her sides, and letting them gently rest upon her hips while listening to what she was saying. Nodding here and there at what she said, and letting out a quiet chuckle because she didn't know what the fire elementals had. Which was okay! He didn't know either. Why else would he ask. "I guess I'll have to be a little gentle with you then," he purred softly, leaning his head in and smiled.

At her question, though, that smile became a light frown. Kin really needed to start accepting who and what he was. He'll be living with it for the rest of his existence. But for now, he was going to be all frowns and pouts about it. "Me? Any vampire could get an extra bonus, besides the original stuff. I can read minds, but only the weak." Right as he said it, his eyes went wide. "I mean, I don't always read people's minds. I try to stay out of their head."

What could be more romantic than a dance lesson date? Kin would get total brownie points, and really, Ita would have to swoon a little.

When he brought her close, she was really quite happy with how well they fit together. His hands on her hips caused a slight chill to thread up her spine. His words made her blush, and she gave him a bashful look. She needed someone to be gentle with her heart; she had wrapped it up and hidden it away for so long, it wasn't used to being handled.

Immediately she regretted asking the question; she didn't want him to feel bad! Read minds?! She almost cried out how cool she thought that was, but his reaction made her hold her tongue. Oh, no, she trusted him. Reaching up a hand to touch his face, she smiled softly. "It's ok, Kin. I trust you." Leaning up, she kissed him swiftly, then wrapped her arms around him, and snuggled a bit. He needed it, she thought.
