Hello!

Welcome to gunsandphysics, the very first InsaneJournal community set up to celebrate the Rodney McKay/Ronon Dex slash pairing.

Within this community lies slashy good times, obviously. If that isn't for you, I do suggest that you look elsewhere for entertainment.

The community guidelines are rather simple and are as follows:

Fics, icons, wallpapers, videos, and other means of expression are encouraged. You don't have to do something conventional to show your support for Ronon and Rodney.

All posted materials should feature the two of them. They don't have to be in a sexual relationship, but all works should have them both present and at the very least thinking about one another (in fic), in the same frame (in artwork), or positioned somewhere near one another (in all of the gray area works such as videos and the like). Individual communities should be along soon enough, so you can post materials that focus on just Ronon or just Rodney there. Please keep this in mind when posting.

Works featuring the Rod/Ronon pairing are welcome, too! I know, they aren't the same person to some people, but Rod and Rodney essentially are 'the same person' and fans of that shipping angle are welcome here as well.

I know that loads of communities ban Real Person Slash, but gunsandphysics isn't one of them. In fact, it's encouraged! There isn't nearly enough fiction in existance featuring Jason Momoa paired with David Hewlett. Go nuts is all that I can say.

Please, for the love of all that is slashy, be kind to one another. Trolls should be reported to me and ignored. Wankers will be banned. This is the only warning you are going to receive if I see that you are deliberately stirring up trouble.

All ratings and kinks are welcome here. I only ask that you clearly label your posts if they contain sensitive topics. Sensitive referring to sexual or violent content.

Spoilers ARE allowed, as long as they are behind a cut and posts are clearly labeled.

Please place all fics and graphics behind a cut if they are longer than 100 words or larger than a promo size (200x200) image. You can check out the details below on how to do this.

Tags have been created and I ask that you use them to make browsing this community as effortless as possible. At the moment, they are limited to "fanfic" and "fanart." Please use them as they apply to your posts. When other types of posts show up, new tags will be added then.

Please include a proper heading on all works. Your heading should include both the main title of your entry and an information rundown in your post itself. The entry titling will help folks find what they need when going through our Memories It would also help if everyone would number the chapters of their fics for easier reading. Please see the provided example for the information rundown.

Everything surrounding the set up of this community is still being solidified, but you are more than welcome to come on in and get started. Please check out THIS in-community HTML guide to pick up a few helpful tips to help you add a little oomph to your posts. Cuts are required, so you'll need to check out that post if you don't know how to create one. Everything else on that post is optional.

Not all of those specifics are required, but we do need the important stuff, such as: your name, the rating of your story or artwork, your story/artwork's title (or lack thereof listed as "Untitled"), some sort of summary helps, chapter numbering for longer fics, a list of warnings, and some type if disclaimer. Everything else is purely optional and gives readers more information to work with.
