"No, I'm not doing it." Sirius refused with a shake of his head. James was insane. There was nothing else to it except the fact that his best mate...was insane.

"You yell at me for 'almost revealing our secrets to Liska' and now you want me to become Padfoot so you can give me to Lily as a gift? I don't think so, mate."

"Yes, except the problem is, she doesn't think I'm sensitive enough." James explained*, making large gestures as he paced in the dorm. "If we show her that I love animals"--he looked around the room--"which I obviously do, then maybe she'll find me more appealing."

He cleared his throat. "But giving her a stag, a werewolf, or a rat isn't a good idea. A cute, cuddly Padfoot is perfect. If you help me, I'll ask Mum to send you a dozen pies...just for you." He wiggled his eyebrows.

	Sirius just stared at James, debating. Sure, it was easy enough...and he would get pies out of it... But what if Evans agreed? He'd have to spend hours with her...as a dog. And be nice. After what felt like an hour he finally opened his mouth again. "Fine. Fine, I'll do it." He said under his breath. "But you owe me BIG TIME for this, mate. BIG TIME." He shrugged. As if Lily would do anything crazy...

James opened the door to the dorms and walked down the stairs into the common room. As soon as he saw Lily, he smiled.

"Lily, love, dear...can you take care of my dog, Padfoot? He really needs to be walked, but I have detention!" He said, knowing that once Lily saw Padfoot, she wouldn't be able to resist...girls liked dogs.

	Padfoot followed James downstairs and up to Lily, standing at his side like a 'good dog' should. He looked up at Lily and gave his tail a little wag. James owed him so much for this. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Lily looked down at the dog. "I've never seen this dog in my life. When did you get a dog? What are you playing at, Potter?" "Seriously? Well, come on, dog. I hope Potter didn't steal you from some poor first year or something." She looked around for a leash or something, but didn't see one. "He didn't even have the decency to steal the leash. How am I supposed to walk you now? Never mind, follow me, I guess?" She started walking out of the common room. "That's not even a real professor..."

	"I guess I wouldn't mind a walk around the grounds." Luckily, she had been outside today, so she had her winter gear ready. She headed towards the door. "I don't know why James won't stop trying. Why does Severus have to wake up one morning and hate me but James won't stop stalking me." She shouldn't talk to a dog, but she didn't have much choice at this moment.
