"No, I'm not doing it." Sirius refused with a shake of his head. James was insane. There was nothing else to it except the fact that his best mate...was insane.
"You yell at me for 'almost revealing our secrets to Liska' and now you want me to become Padfoot so you can give me to Lily as a gift? I don't think so, mate." |

| Showdown in the Common Room |

Lily ran up to the common room, brandishing her wand. Now all that remained of this stupid charade was to deal with James Potter. Sure, those new kids were involved too, but Harry didn't seem very willing and Hermione, well, fitting in new schools was hard and if someone like James was nice to you maybe you'd do things you normally wouldn't.
But James, oh James. His stupid lies and his stupid... face and stupid everything. The sad thing was it worked. She had that one conversation with him and now he kept guilt tripping her with accidentally killing Harry. It wasn't like she had done anything terribly stupid, but she still chided herself. Plus, it was his fault Severus wasn't talking to her.
The door burst open dramatically, and she hoped James was in there when she started yelling. "James Potter!" |

| The boys' dorms [Open to Harry and James] |

It was hard to spend a lot of time in the dorm. First it had been because of the other people occupying the room, people that Harry knew and loved, and lost. It was hard watching his father go about every day teenage things without a care in the world, not knowing that he wouldn't survive another decade. It was hard watching Sirius joke and laugh and act like a teenager, act like a person who knew nothing about the horrors of Azkaban. But now, now it was hard because of Lupin. Remus knew everything. He knew who Harry was, where he had come from, what was going on in the future. Hermione had ruined everything and so Harry needed to take some time to himself.
The dormitory was deserted when he made his way up the stairs to drop off his books. The lack of people tempted him into staying for a bit where he could just think. There was far too much to think about and not enough time. Actually, he corrected himself, he had all the time in the world. An extra twenty or so years at least. |

There was no gloomier sight of a 16 year old on her birthday than Lily Evans, currently seated in the Gryffindor common room, staring at the fire thoughtfully, surrounded by stuffed animals and pie. At her feet was the package from her family (her mum had signed it from Petunia... did Petunia even remember? No time to think about that now) and Severus's package. Yes, there was no doubt as to who sent the "anonymous" package. She had prepared herself for him ignoring the date entirely, but this was a bit too much for her right now.
She was eying the pie now... She hated to accept gifts from James but it was technically from his mother, really, and it was chocolate. It looked amazing. She deserved chocolate. She disgruntedly picked up the pie, mumbled an "accio fork" and hoped the house elves weren't too frightened. Or that she didn't stab someone. Except maybe James. That might be okay. The fork came, and she started to eat the pie. It was really good. She didn't look any happier, though. |

| Gryffindor Common Room |

(Just a little something.. hopefully it's not TOO bad. Just figured Ron should get out of the hospital. It's sort of short and not.. flowing. Wrote this is up quickly, had to go in a bit.)
Still dazzled by the idea of - what was it again? Being sent back in time? - what he had just been told, Ron absentmindedly entered the Gryffindor Common Room. He expected it to be quite different, but it wasn't, really. He suddenly wondered if this is how it had been when the founders first created Hogwarts. Had it changed at all, aside from the students? Maybe. But who really knew? He supposed Dumbledore might - how old was he, anyway? - or maybe someone else Dumbledore had been friends with.. if they weren't dead already.
He had a strange worry tugging at his mind - "What if someone changes the future and little Ron never happens?" That could change the whole future.. maybe. Or maybe Ron really didn't do much.. but either way, he wondered who Harry's 'the thing you'll most miss' in the Triwizard Tournament would be. Hermione? Hedwig? Who would be Harry's best friend if not for Ron? Of course, Hermione was one of Harry's friends, but with Hermione as your best friend your 'fun filled nights' would be at the library. Poor Harry. |

"He's downstairs!" Sirius announced - slightly out of breath from taking the stairs two at a time. The black-haired Marauder kicked the door shut behind him (Privacy was always an important factor when it was time for Marauder-ing) before walking into the room.
It was time for Operation: Information. Round One!

The door slammed open at seven that evening, and the self-proclaimed king of the Marauders entered his humble dorm, taking in the familiar scent of Moony's chocolate and his own collection of spoiled candy--extra handy for tricking Slytherins.
His vacation had been rather dull, in his opinion, what with his mother losing the pie contest in Bermuda, and his trip to New York ending early. He had already spoken to Sirius and Peter over the Legens, and heard about their breaks.
James wasn't thinking about that right now, however.
What was he thinking about, then? Why the upcoming full moon/adventure, of course. He had finally perfected his Animagus transformation, and couldn't wait for his next chance to use it. Those antlers had been murder...
Closing the door behind him, he threw his bag on his bed and sat beside it.
"I'm home, kids!" He cried, not even looking to see if any of his friends were present. |

Lily sprawled out over a chair in the common room, the area around her covered in potions texts. She had one in her hand and a quill in her other hand, jotting down notes. Slughorn assigned the most inane essays sometimes. She knew she could probably come up with an excuse and get out of it, but she always hated to abuse the fact that Slughorn liked her so much.
Her thoughts were interrupted by someone walking into the common room. She looked up to see who it was. |

Hermione ran down from the girls' dorms into the common room, clutching her Legens. Luna said Harry was probably in here, and that Hermione should discuss a new Dumbledore's Army with him. She rather liked the idea--a place where everyone could discuss the future in privacy would be so useful--but she really had to ask Harry first.
She still felt guilty over the whole ordeal with Remus (or rather, not telling Harry about the whole ordeal with Remus).
She didn't immediately spot Harry, so she let out a long sigh and sat on a couch near the fireplace. Someone had left a book about potions on the other seat, so she picked it up and began reading, while hoping that Harry (or at least someone interesting) would come in soon. |

Homework. That was the task Sirius had sat down to accomplish this fine evening. But like most days, Sirius was doing everything but his homework. Sprawled sideways in a chair of the Gryffindor common room, legs dangling off one end, head the other, the black haired boy was reading a magazine. Much more interesting than the charms textbook in his lap.
Turning a glossy page he wondered vaguely about the new kids...something still seemed curious about them. He'd have to do more investigating in the coming weeks. |
