The Same Time

Rose recognized that twinkle in Lily's eyes. She recognized Lily's smile--the way her lips curved just so at the corners. Lily perched on the window seat with her legs slightly spread as she fiddled with the drawstring tie on her shorts.

Attempting to be coy. Rose recognized that too.

"No."

Lily's eyes widened.

"No," Rose said more firmly.

"Please?"

"And after? You'll be too tired to reciprocate like always."

Lily bit her lip. "What if we did it at the same time?"

"The same time?"

There was a new intriguing gleam in Lily's eyes. "Here, let me show you."
