Every Night After Midnight

Just after midnight Neville heard the curtains part, hushed hellos, and the sound of one boy slipping into another's bed. Either they assumed everyone in the dorm was asleep or didn't care, but they never used silencing spells, not once since Neville first heard them weeks ago.

He'd stayed up late every night since.

It didn't take long for sheets to rustle in a jagged beat, the strains of faint moans lingering in the air. Closing his eyes, Neville slipped his hand down his pants, quickly taking up their rhythm.

Maybe one day he'd be brave enough to join them.
