After Housekeeping left, she's cleaned the room again. Everything dusted off. The bed remade. Flowers rearranged, then again once more. Demeter couldn't sit still; it was worse than the night she waited for Phoebus. Then, there was fear. Now, there was pain - and anger. How long had this been building? Her daughter had no part in the original offense but now, now when there was choice and the chance to start once again, how could she... The blonde goddess didn't want to think of the reasons; she knew them already and was slowly accepting them no matter how painful they were. Her Kore was in love but that made it no easier on her mother. Yes, the talk with Hestia had helped to some degree. Helped her sort out her thoughts and feelings and truthfully only solidified her decision to follow the path she'd set for herself. Now, all she had to do was wait for the younger woman to arrive.

As if on cue, her phone rang, announcing Anne's arrival. "Please, send her up," Demeter told the and after hanging up the receiver, began to smooth the wrinkles from her dress. The simple Greco-roman styled piece was a deep forest green and matched the scarf that covered her head perfectly, accenting her light hazel eyes and golden skin. Though no matter how much she may appear the goddess she'd once been, Demeter hardly felt it as she stood by the door, waiting for Kore's knock.

She'd given his name to the front desk, instructing them to send him up to her sweet with a key upon arrival. The two of them together in the halls if Hera was lurking about could spell disaster. Instead, Demeter waited in her rooms, clad in a black satin robe with her hair pulled up in a messy bun and a bottle of bubbly on ice. A few desserts from room service were set on the table and the tub was full. All she needed was her young lover to provide a piece of mind - and maybe a few climaxes - and she'd sleep much more soundly than she had the night before. The diminutive blonde wrung her hands as she paced the room like a caged cat, counting the seconds. They'd called up to tell her he'd arrived; what was taking so long?! Surely, Hera hadn't...

The golden head snapped up as she heard the small beep of her door's keypad and Demeter found herself holding her breath while she stood behind one of the high backed chairs for protection until her Phoebus' face appeared. "Oh, thank God," Demeter breathed in relief and all but ran into his arms for a crushing hug.

She didn't trust the journals. Not now, not to make arrangements and talk of more private things. Or to warn the others.

She hated business meetings. Even before certain revelations had been made, Chloe found them boring. Now, as Demeter, she despised them. True, the stuffy goats who were making her money - or trying to - were needed to keep her in the comfortable surroundings but the talk of mergers and net loss increase thingamabobs made her head hurt. And nearly bored her to tears. So, instead of listening to them yammer on, the blonde woman took to nodding occasionally, offering up non-committal noises and responses all the while sending amusingly inappropriate text messages back and forth with her Phoebus.

The mind numbing insanity had ended for the morning and lunch was being served. However, needing the break more than the food, Demeter - in full Chloe mode - had excused herself with smiles and friendly gestures for the men then fled to the elevators, leaving them and her assistant behind. Nimble fingers continued dance over the keys of her blackberry, pausing only to hit the UP button on the lift before going back to typing as she waited.
