LOG | Richie Grayson and Sasha Bordeaux
SUMMARY Richie shows up at Wayne Manor and helps its newest resident move in.SASHA // Sasha had finally gotten her hands on the last of her boxes, and they were sitting in the back of her car as she slowly moved them into Wayne Manor. Okay, so she probably could have hired someone to talk care of this, but she had some delicate equipment in the boxes, and she'd rather not leave it in anyone else's hands. She was currently negotiating getting a box out of the back seat of her car, which was starting to get annoying since the car door just would not open far enough.
RICHIE // Richie Grayson comes rocketing up the manor driveway on his motorcycle and comes to a quick halt behind Sasha bent over and trying to get her box out of the car. He pulls his helmet off and jokingly checks her out... considering the angle and the view he's getting. It's too hard not to go there. "You... you must be the new bodyguard," he says with a grin. "You match the description."
SASHA // Sasha straightened up without getting the box out, glancing over to who was talking. "And you must be Richard Grayson." She smirked a little bit. "You certainly match your description." There isn't any checking out on her end, but combine the motorbike and the cocky grin? Yeah, she knew who he was.
RICHIE // "That puts all those people who call me indescribable to shame." Richie shuts down his bikes engine and hangs the helmet off the handlebar before climbing off. So this is Bruce's new bodyguard. He knows its a serious situation, but it's also pretty damn entertaining to begin with. "Oh, and it's just Richie." He extends his hand to her.
SASHA // "Clearly people need to be a little bit more careful with their use of hyperbole. Everyone is describable." Sasha wished Bruce would treat it as a serious situation, but it didn't look like it so far. She reached out and shook Richie's hand firmly, a polite smile on her face. "Sasha. It's a pleasure to meet you."
RICHIE // "I'll pretend you really mean that." Richie flashes a smile and looks past Sasha into her car. It looks like she's still in the process of moving in. "Here. Let me give you a hand." Let's get her all settled into her new home. With Bruce. The Batman. Time's wasting, so let's get this started.
SASHA // "Hey now." Sasha smiled a little more warmly. "Given your relationship with my charge, I have certainly been expecting to meet you. I'm glad it's sooner rather than later." So it was practically a pleasure. Or at least something she'd factored in. "If you can get that box off the back seat, I will be eternally grateful."
RICHIE // Richie slides past Sasha to get access to her car and bends into the back seat for the box. "I wouldn't mind having a little eternal gratitude. Let's get this box out of here." He reaches up to the front, pulling the latch to make the front seat go forward more. Doing that gives him all the room he needs to get the box.
SASHA // It is possible she should have thought of that, but she'd gotten the box in without having to do that. "It certainly looks like you're a handy person to have around." She smiled tightly, grabbing another box from the back once he'd moved out of the way. "Do you spend much time here?" That is not actually the polite small talk it sounds like. But they could both pretend, right?
RICHIE // Holding onto the box, Richie waits on Sasha to take another and be ready to head inside. "I stop by from time to time. Holidays, birthdays, laundry days." He smirks and starts moving, walking up the manor's front steps. "I think you can bet on seeing me around. So how do you like the new boss so far? You two aren't... you know... are you?"
SASHA // "Right." There's another little tug at her lips into a bit of a smirk. "So whenever you're required or you need Alfred to do something for you?" She has your number, Richie. "He's..." It was not particularly professional to complain about your charge, especially to family members. "... a challenge. And it would be unprofessional of me to engage in intimate relations with a charge." That was a no, Richie. For the record.
RICHIE // "Watch yourself. Bruce and professionalism? Wow -- those two things just do not go together." This is very amusing for Richie. At least there's someone appreciating this new arrangement. Though he wouldn't be surprised if Alfred also is amused by it. Richie heads upstairs, pausing on the second floor for Sasha to lead the way to whichever of these many rooms now belongs to her.
SASHA // "Well, I certainly intend for them to go together in this case. I am more than capable of restraint on both our behalves." Sasha, get involved in an inappropriate relationship with her charge? Never. She moved past Richie to lead him to her room, walking briskly.
RICHIE // "You're the one with the firearm, so I guess you make the rules." Richie follows after Sasha, shifting the box over to one side to carry. "Not that I actually suggest using it. Something tells me that shooting one of your charges will look bad on your resume when you look for a new job because... you shot your last one."
SASHA // "It is entirely possible that I would be laughed out of the bodyguard club if I shot someone I was supposed to be protecting." Sasha, that would sound flippant if you didn't deliver it with a straight face and flat tone. "And I would prefer not to spend my days defending my honor in prison."
RICHIE // "Nights too. Probably have to stay on your guard at night." Richie is so helpful. He wonders which of the guest rooms Sasha has been given, until seeing her move for one. "Hah." That figures. It's probably the most strategically placed one. Out of the way, obscured view from the window. He could probably do donuts in the Batmobile outside, and Sasha wouldn't be able to tell from here. Why not just lock her out in the woodshed, Bruce?
SASHA // Sasha honestly wasn't impressed with the room. Given that she pretty much had to be on guard 24/7 since she was the only one working Bruce's security detail, this location would not help. But that was something she would be working on. "Of course. There's every possibility I would end up with a severe sleep deficiency." There is a pause from her. "Prison is starting to sound a lot more like this job the more we talk about it."
RICHIE // Looking for a clear spot, Richie sets the box down on the floor upon finding one. "You know, I was trying to be nice and not point that out." He straightens and hooks his thumbs into his pockets, resting his hands there like that. "Look -- a little advice. A little secret about how to survive here. If the boss gives you too much trouble, talk to Al. Trust me on this. It'll be helpful."
SASHA // "I'm not entirely sure which one I would prefer," she murmured before her box down as well. She nodded at the comment, her lips turning up very slightly. It might be a smile. "I'm not expecting things to be easy. I'm aware Mister Wayne is not pleased at this current state of affairs."
RICHIE // "Mister Wayne just doesn't know how to handle a woman who doesn't leave the next morning." Richie is simply helping Bruce's cover along. That's all. Really. It's not his fault doing so is fun. "So... is there anything left in your car?"
SASHA // Sasha pressed her lips together. "It would be better for him if he didn't see me as a woman." She wasn't here to be arm-candy, she was here to protect his life. "Nothing that can't wait til later. Thank you for your help." Richie got a proper smile out of her there
RICHIE // "Heh. It's real hard to miss." Richie smiles and waves as he walks out of what is now Sasha's room. He really only came by the manor to see Bruce's new living arrangement for himself. It's a shame he didn't catch them all together, though. The easy money is on Bruce being holed up down in the cave.
