It's normally on the way back from California that most Brits look a bit frazzled.
But Gordon Ramsay was spotted jetting into Los Angeles already looking somewhat overcooked.
The TV chef arrived in LA on Monday to film a new series of Kitchen Nightmares with highlighted hair, an orange tan, a necklace and scruffy shirt, jeans and silver trainers.
All that was missing to complete the California beach bum look was a surfboard under his arm.
Clutching his passport and carrying a holdall, Ramsay, 42, remained stony-faced as he ignored photographers' questions about his recent marital woes.
The trip marks his first return to LA since claims of his alleged infidelity emerged in November.
The chef has denied claims he cheated on his wife Tana with 'professional mistress' Sarah Symonds over a seven-year period.
Miss Symonds, a former mistress of Jeffrey Archer who wrote a book called Having An Affair? A Handbook For The Other Woman, claims she has decided to date only single men in future.
Ramsay is expected to stay in the U.S. for several months, leaving wife Tana to hold the fort in Wandsworth, South London, where the couple live with their four children.
As well as being a TV star in the U.S. Ramsay also runs a restaurant at The London hotel in West Hollywood.
He will return to British screens this month on Channel 4's Great British Food Fight season with Ramsay's Great British Nightmare.
