Please could you owl me some new quill nibs? As you can see, they're greatly needed! I'm sorry you couldn't make it to the parent-teacher conferences this weekend, but I'm including a copy of my latest Artificing essay on wandmaking with this letter so you can see how highly Mr Oakes sings my praises. (See what a narrow escape you had? Imagine a whole day of teachers telling you how brilliant your eldest daughter is. I would have been insufferable by the end of it.)

P.S. Your thoughts on the essay would be greatly appreciated! For heaven's sake, cut me down to size. Do you happen to know  I'm trying to find out more about the Gregorovitch approach to cores but the library here doesn't  Quill trouble again! Don't forget those nibs!
