Is it president of the hot mess house, or just being a hot mess in general? That's an important distinction. One implies that person's loved by everyone, the other is just a wreck.

Oh my God, no. I'm moving past that. Or trying to, at least. There was someone else, and I really thought we had something. That was their favorite song, but I totally fucking misread the situation. I guess I was just lonely and wanted to think someone loved me.

	I am happy around them. It's not as though I'm faking it. I've got a lot of really amazing friends. I love them, I really do. But I know what I'm like. Anyone who gets too close to me is eventually going to find out. Cecil and I work in large part because he's got the tolerance of a saint and lets people get away with too much. Okay SURE your best friend has only been your best friend FOR YEARS because he "TOLERATES" you. That's TOTALLY BELIEVABLE. Anyway, he wouldn't HAVE to let people get away with TOO MUCH if you just STOPPED doing stuff ALL THE TIME??? It's not like you don't KNOW what Cecil hates.

It's still TOTALLY CRAZY you think no one likes you. I mean, you want to see someone whom nobody likes, just look at YOURS TRULY. But I wouldn't want people to be FAKING IT anyway. Life's too short to be friends with people who'll only PRETEND to like you to your face.

Maybe you're right about the whole life's too short thing but... You just make people nervous, most people don't have it in them to hate. Sometimes I worry you don't really have anyone, though. But I guess you've got your roommates, and you and Essie are friends again.
