The fans though are REALLY crazy and freakishly obsessed.

I am really tired and will talk more about it when I wake up.

...With lots of homework-doing tomorrow followed by a snowy film shoot on Saturday and then HOPEFULLY a very short film shoot (mine) on Sunday... and and and... uh... stuffs.

Tonight we may get a ton of snow. If not, we might get it tomorrow. Or tomorrow night. And then I will shoot filmz in the middle of it! I think just having declared the major I did proved my insanity...

My Micah Stebbins has a personality section that so far is eight paragraphs long!  I just started writing and all of a sudden I stop and count it all. His app will probably be long, I just know it.

He better now be as long as my Andromeda or Cho apps.

He probably won't get that long but he does seem like he is a VERY strong muse, plus the plot with him and Bri's Adrian Pucey is really great in a complicated, screwed up fashion.

I got inspiration for a Hufflepuff guy at Allyouneed but he would need a partner.

I am leaning towards Stebbins as the character.

• He still needs a first name but his pb would be Adamo Ruggiero.
• He is a photographer for the Daily Prophet
• He is gay and has known he was gay since he was 14 years old. He came out to his parents, but they were very homophobic and kicked him out.
• He did go to the Yule Ball with Fawcett, but that was only because he was trying to prove to himself he was straight. That didn't really work.
• He had a serious boyfriend in Kevin Entwhistle and they dated for a year and a half until Kevin died in the final battle.  Stebbins has not gotten over that as of yet.
• Went to Azkaban for not registering and did not find out his boyfriend died until he was realesed when Harry won in the final battle. Has lots of issues rising fom his year long stay in Azkaban and his boyfriend dying.
• He is very determined and stubborn person who thinks he is always right. It is hard for him to change his mind on something.
  
• He is a catholic and he struggles with what that means since he is gay.
• Can have mood swings and lash out verbally at people. This is mostly due to his stay at Azkaban, but he has always been midely defensive about things.

I will think of more stuff once I figure out his astrological sign and figure out more about him. But he needs a partner before I put a hold on him. 

It could be an Azkaban cell mate, future love interest, a very close female or male friend, whatever you think of.

Or year, for that matter. On HBO's True Blood site, there's a link to the Just for Fan(g)s Wiki that actually encourages people to post fan fiction, fan art, and even fan videos!

Other than making icons here and there, I don't plan to write any fan fic or make any vids, but wow is this a departure from the fandom as usual I rememberuphill in the snow both ways. I've not seen (nor have I actively tried to track it down, either) anything from the author of the books the series about this issue, but I'd be curious about her take on it.

In fact, I don't think I've ever run across this type of encouragement before, and if there's something out there the precedes this, I'd love to know!

Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

Just in case the LJ move takes longer than they say, I decided to save almost all of the fanfics I've written (including HTML coding) to my computer, moments before they shut it down. That, plus the coding for my LJ layout.

Livejournal is pretty much the only spot my fanfic is located, so it was that or possibly lose it all.

Didn't think to grab my icons, so we'll see if those are still there when it comes back.

Comment notifications aren't working, graaaaaargh! I just now realized people replied to posts I made yesterday, so I will go over thataway to reply!

I feel a little bereft without LJ. I wonder if the IJ servers are going to get spammed hard and go down soon?

School may be sucking a lot at the moment (I don't like stressing, and I have one prof who seems to be hellbent on making everybody stress out, along with taking up more than his fair share of study time at the expense of everybody's other classes, argh) but I'm finding the whole dragon egg thing to be a bit of a relaxing diversion. Two of my eggs have developed their first cracks, even! It may be totally silly but I suspect it's like I've got a tangible accomplishment that didn't require me tearing out my hair.

Busy day of classes, today... including the part where I have to patiently explain that no, my third film isn't ready to be seen yet because I've only had one day to edit it, the Avid system spent three hours of that time sucking and refusing to cooperate with anything I needed it to do, and so I still have to finish it. Plus the soonest I can finish it is tomorrow because otherwise he's asking me to CUT CLASSES -- in which case he'd better be willing to let me cut HIS FIRST -- and someone else booked that Avid machine almost constantly for the next week, so I have to haul my project over to a new machine. (Something that wouldn't have been an issue if the machine I'd initially booked hadn't turned out to be FUBAR). WOW that's a lot of ranty things to have to say. What it comes down to is I'll have it done by Thursday and at least THIS time, if he's going to penalize me for lateness, he'll have to do it on my grade sheet, not in my wallet. :P

A few things:

I am in a completely wanky/foul/rageful/upset/hurt/stupid/shiteous mood and will be for the next week until this round of doctor's appointments are over. Instead of boring people with it, the basic summary is that my physicians are A+, my body is like a Yugo, and my give a damn is seriously broken. Some of this is my own fault for being a slacker, and I'm angry with myself.

And for mathteacher: I LOOOOOOOOOOVE my Treo 800w! I tried the voice-guided driving directions GPS today, and it was SO AWESOME. When you don't take the route suggested, it gives a loud chime, updates, the map, and rerouts you with no problem. The voice is clear, but you can't listen to the radio too loudly or it'll get drowned out. Also, the messaging options (AIM, MSN) work well and better than those on older Treos. The bookmarks for web sites took a little getting used to, but are like what you'd find in IE or FireFox. Also, the word recognition for typed words also works well. Overall, I give it an A.

Argh. Anyone else have a problem uploading icons?

I do love me some RP, but I think I'm going to have to draw the line at uh, doing it in Latin. A friend is building some sort of thing in Second Life to RP in Latin, and well, my vocabulary is pretty sucktastic anymore. I can't go around going, "Pedicabo ego vos et irrumabo," because hahahaha, that would be bad. But seriously funny, at any rate.

Last night she kinda stirred things up in the Order, didn't she? Chat agreed that she has a very valid point, but Pete's also right in that she is doing nothing to promote unity within the Order. And she's not. She was actually trying to pick a fight because she's upset about Agnes and a bit frustrated about the way the conversation went in James' journal. It's probably pretty rare that she tries to pick a fight with just anyone in the Order, but now that she's been in it longer it might be a bit more common. The Order has probably seen it with her and Damocles, and hopefully some of them know that when she argues she likes to do a lot of petty insulting, even if she doesn't really feel that way about what she said.

But the Order did a good job with it. No one really argued with her so she couldn't argue back, even though she sure as hell tried. And that's the best way to do it. She ended up going over to Damocles' and yelling at him for a while, which if he agreed with her about things she probably just yelled a bunch until she felt better.

And that's another reason I really want a Damocles. I would try to bug his player to post something to the Order minus Elsie being like "Thanks for not arguing with her you did a good job, not going to apologise for her but please don't take it personally she just wanted to argue" or something like that.

Huh. That was long. Loren thank you for getting me into this "writing about characters" thing because it's great.
