RULES AND REGULATIONS
WRIT IN STONE:
(That is to say, break them even once and you're out.)
1 · Never kill, rape, or permanently cripple, another character without discussing it with a moderator! Horrific injuries may happen in a fight, it's true, but anyone taking place in a fight this serious MUST send something, however brief, to a moderator! Just a quick little 'Blah is fighting Blah with possible permanent injury or death'. As for rape, please, send us something polite, and do it with a little reality, please. It's disgusting, but if it's going to happen don't make it a meaningless cliché.
2 · Don't claim a character you don't know! EVER. If you're not sure which of the Horsepersons (as an example) you want to play, do a little sample of each character you're considering and send them to a moderator. Don't set yourself up as Anathema and then realize you've more War's temperament, don't be Discworld!Death if you want to play Death, and so on. If you play a character and decide that you aren't happy in that role, let a moderator know - you can drop that character and pick up another.
3 · Applications for characters go to the mods. Send applications to me, adder_twist, or post as a reply to the entry 'Wold'.
WRIT IN NORMAL PAPER AND PEN FASHION AND THEN LATER TYPED ONTO A COMPUTER:
· No god-modding; that is to say, in a game like this there are some very powerful beings and some quite normal, and it would be great if we could stick to that, but remember your boundaries; just because you can put someone in mild hypnosis doesn't mean you can turn them into a pet. If you overstep your bounds, the moderators will make sure that the aftereffects of overextending your power are felt by your character. If it is within your power but it's something blatant like that, it will be noticed, and Higher Beings might even Intervene, which will be interesting, but detrimental.
· Codes - Anything which is graphically violent should be marked with a V. Anything graphically sexual should be marked with a S and a number, from one to three - one being not-overly-descriptive, two being quite-descriptive, three being quite-descriptive-and-involving-kinks. If homosexuality offends you... um, tough? Anything which is private, between only the characters already organized should be marked with a C, and any scene which needs players should be marked with an O. To reiterate:
V - violence
S1 - mild sex; not heavily described.
S2 - descriptive sex
S3 - graphic sex; three or more people, kinks, that kind of thing.
C - closed, off limits, pre-organized scenes. No more characters welcome.
O - scenes needing characters.
· Original characters must be requested before made, and the moderators can turn away an original character application at their discretion even if they've approved your making one. We want nothing flawless, nothing that could defeat god, no humans who could match themselves against angels or demons unarmed for no reason, and so on.
· The angel you want the name of is Cassiel. Loooong story.
· Please be over seventeen, just so I don't get sued. There's swearing and violence and sex, so... yeah.
· Don't bring out-of-character issues to in-character activity. Just because you're angry with such-and-such doesn't mean that the character you play is angry with the character they play.
· Please don't second-guess moderators, at least not constantly. It's unbecoming and awkward to deal with, because then I have to step in to settle the dispute. Mods have authority for a reason, but that doesn't mean that they're always right. Just... try to keep the peace, please.
· Everything you absolutely need to know, you will find is marked by the tag 'essentials' as one of its tags.
...
That is all.
Seriously. It's essential.
