As soon as she heard the words she knew that it was over, her heart slowly breaking as she gave them a smile and wished them luck. Seeing the look in his eyes she knew that she didn't stand a chance – this was the love of his life. She had never seen a look like that in his eyes before, the closest thing being the gentle expression he had as she gave birth to their children.

Somehow she had always known that it would end up like this but at the same time she had allowed herself to hope that maybe, just maybe he could learn to like her as more than a good friend. Their marriage wasn't anything more than a contract and she had known that from the start but that didn't stop her from falling in love with him and it didn't make it hurt any less as the life she had allowed herself to dream about was falling apart right in front of her eyes.

When she had welcomed him home that day she hadn't expected to get her heart broken by four simple words.

"His name is Kuronue."
