Hello, I'm Kris and I'm relatively new to this community but not to being a gamer.

I noticed there's a lot of ladies who enjoy MMORPGs here, but unfortunately, I'm not one of them so I'm hoping you guys can still help me out. I'm pretty open to most genres but I like a lot of turn-based RPGs and platform games the most, and I love both Nintendo and Playstation games.

I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for me? I'm always looking for a new game to play.

Also, I'm curious how many of you have heard of the game Legend of Dragoon. It's always been one of my favorites but it isn't very popular and I'm always on the lookout for fellow fans.

I really like the "god of war" series for PS2 and 3

I've played through the first God of War actually, and it was a lot of fun. I'll have to see if I can get ahold of the second one.

I played the Dragoon demo years ago, but I never got around to getting the actual game. What I played was really good though.

I'm not much of a turn-based RPG player, but I really love the Shin Megami Tensei series. They're a bit darker than most RPGs I've seen, but I think the stories are great. Only problem is is that they're a bit rare. SMT: Persona 3: FES was released recently, so you might be able to find that easily.

Oh, and for platform games, I would defiantly recommend Psychonauts and Shadow of the Colossus if you haven't played those already, and Ratchet and Clank Future if you have a PS3 (or any of the other Ratchet games for that matter).

I've tried out Psychonauts, but I'll have to check out the others. Thanks.

I'm not a fan of turn-based JRPGs at all. I like Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire and Mass Effect (I wouldn't call them turn-based).

I can't really offer any real recommendations except for KOTOR, Mass Effect and Jade Empire. I'm an FPS-person myself.

Sorry for comment hopping, but Mass Effect is the best game, ever.

I love KOTOR, but I haven't heard of the other two. I'll have to look into those.

Both are well worth it. :)

This is probably coming in a little late but my most favourite game in the world, which happens to be a turn-based RPG, is the Shadow Hearts series. I don't know if you've ever played any of them. Covenant/II is best but the first one is also very good. Third one is mediocre at best in comparison but the characters are interesting.
