| About: | Most of the promotions communities on IJ are overwhelmed with massive numbers of ads for RPGs, Fandom communities and add-me communities, which makes it very difficult to find asylums based on general-interest topics. This promotion asylum is therefore created with the intent to be place to promote general interest communities, without being swamped and lost from sight in masses of ads for Harry Potter et al. There are some rules here: 1) Strictly no ads for any role-playing asylums, fandom asylums, fanfic, or asylums of the "add-me" or ratings type. There are plenty of other promotions communities where you may promote asylums of this type, including ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} asylum_promo. We will also not promote any asylum that condones illegal activity or breaks the IJ terms of service.2) The advertisement should be in the following format: - in the SUBJECT, put what the asylum is about (eg: "Vegetarian Cookery"). This will make it easier for members to search the archives for a subject they're interested in. - In the BODY of the post, include the name of the asylum, a link to it, and a brief description of what it's about. Please do not include graphics in your post. 3) If you are promoting more than one asylum please put them in seperate posts so they can be properly tagged and more easily searchable. (You do not have to own the asylum you are promoting, as long as the owner doesn't mind. If any asylum owner wants the link to their asylum removed please let me know and I will remove it). 4) Please do not promote any asylum more than once a week. 5) Please do not leave comments screened or turned off. People may wish to ask you for more information. 6) Please leave drama at the door, and be civil. You may not agree with a particular asylum but that is no excuse to flame it. 7) ALL posts to the community will be reviewed by a moderator before being posted to the community.
