Hello everyone. I bring you your resident Frilly Prosecutor - Miles Edgeworth of Capcom fame. I'm going to be making him pretty new to Gametown - 1-3 months or so, so he wouldn't be looking for any majorly established SLs yet, but eventually he'll probably swing right back to his usual place if Gametown has a need for a prosecutor. He's also adept with investigating and general police footwork, since the place he comes from sort of combine the three into one job. He's studied a myriad of different legal systems and learning a new one is normal for him, so he shouldn't have too much trouble picking up on how things work around here.

He's had time to adjust to the change in race, and has adopted a name that he thinks suits him pretty nice - Kenji Himura. Himura means Scarlet Village, and he's chosen it for obvious reasons, while Kenji is both a name, and the Japanese word for Prosecutor.

He's also fluent in many languages and could serve as a translator if anyone needed him. Basic info is in his journal - the bio and the first entry and/or I could crosspost it to the gametown community as an intro if anyone wants that instead/also.

This is the SL portion, which seems applicable here. )

Anyway, SLs are currently open and I'd love to fill in any of Edgeworth's connections pre- or post-entrance to the game

Anyone familiar with him or knowing of an SL he'd fit well into, feel free to hit me up. I'm not on AIM often, but as the mod post said - gr8revival. I'll try to be on this weekend.

Phoenix Wright! [31 May 2008|02:21pm]

protempore
Hey everyone, this is Phoenix Wright of Ace Attorney fame.

Phoenix has a pretty horrible post in his journal I need to clean up, extend, and add facts onto, but it's still there for your general reference.

Phoenix (or Nicholas Jensen, as he's known to players) is an ex-defense attorney, having had his badge revoked for presenting forged evidence in court. He's not exactly interested in becoming an attorney in this world (a brand new legal system to learn? No thanks) but might be handy for legal advice if the time ever comes for such a thing.

You'll find him instead much more willing to kick your ass at a game of poker (he's got a seven-year-long winning streak with no sign of breaking) or play you a tune or two on the piano -- he works as a piano player for a rather upscale restaurant in Manhattan, and does poker tournaments to bring in some money on the side.

Phoenix doesn't drive, so he'll definitely be using the cab service, and he has a soft spot for younger people who need a foster parent, despite being pretty lacking in the department of parenting.

Otherwise, Phoenix loves the truth, and giving people the justice they deserve -- and he doesn't feel bound by using orthodox ways to get it, either.

On the side, Phoenix also runs the "Wright Talent Agency" -- anyone looking for a little support (or a variety of odd jobs) should see Phoenix for all their employment needs. Even if you don't think you have a talent, he'll find something to market you for.

Hi, kids! Really excited to be here!

This is Trixie, girlfriend of the world renowned (well, maybe not so much outside of their world) Speed Racer and relatively new Game Town refugee. She spends most of her days behind a counter at an H&M in New York City, daydreaming about...not being behind a counter at an H&M. So do please come visit her.

Trixie - or Trish, as she's known amongst the Players - walks a fine line between girliness and being a tomboy. She can talk cars for hours on end with men, but won't give the time of day to those who underestimate her. On the other hand, she despises prissy, stuck up women (she has her fill of them at work), but could use a few gal pals to confide in and maybe even, occasionally, go out with.

But she does her best to be friendly with everyone, so don't be afraid to say hi. Unless you're planning on trying to come between her and her man. Then she'll kick your ass right into the ground. ;)

Daniel here again, with my third character. It's Irvine Kinneas, the skirt chasing cowboy of Final Fantasy fame. In the real world he'll be going by Irvine Travis. He'll claim to be a native Texan, loves country music ( and bars ), drives a pick up truck, and watches westerns. A LOT of westerns.

He'll also be running the local gunshop, and can make all sorts of insane modifications to firearms and ammo, and as a side venture also sells Western Apparel. He still loves the ladies, and if your video game character was once a female but now gender bended? Well, that won't stop him from complimenting her digital persona. Any and all lines welcome.

Well, I have no brain. I totally imagined I had posted already! But that's ok, because here I am.

This is Speed Racer ("Scott," to the Players), your resident cab driver, guaranteed to get you to work five minutes earlier than usual. He came to Game Town in January, and was fortunate enough to get out of his homeworld with his entire family (minus Racer X). They share a dumpy apartment, in New York proper, but they're all friendly, sociable people, and spend a good deal of time in Game Town.

To say the least, Speed is really feeling displaced right now, maybe moreso than the rest of his family. The most obvious issue, of course, is that he feels like he's kind of lost the one thing he was good at. Even though he's an excellent cabbie, it's just that - cab driving. There's no room for passion in it, and he misses the Mach 5 almost as if it was a person he left behind. He also feels misguidedly guilty for not having been able to do something to get his family out of the bind they were in, in their homeworld. (A very Sound of Music-esque situation, the details of which are written up in his bio.) A lot of his time now is spent trying to dream up ways to heroically solve their financial difficulties, as well as return to their home to find out what happened to Racer X. (Even though he knows it's impossible.)

Speed's a good kid. He's fairly naive, and can sometimes be what I would call "dippy," but he's got bucketloads of integrity, and his family's well-being comes first for him, no matter what. Outside of Trixie and Sparky, Speed's never really had any close friends, but I suspect that in Game Town, surrounded by other people who have lost extraordinary things they were incredibly passionate about, that might change.

Other than that, I'm looking for people he frequently ferries around in his cab, a benefactor to sponser him so he might stand a chance of getting into the Gumball rally, rivals from other driving-oriented games, and whatever else you care to throw at me. I'm incredibly enthusiastic about this, so let's talk.

srh
so, hi! this is the villainess sarah kerrigan of the starcraft series. she's 24 and her game was corrupted about a year ago. she's... well, her life was not good. she was taken from her home when she was 7 and trained as an assassin and espionage agent because of her psychic powers, and then when she was twenty-ish she was infested by an insectoid species, the Zerg, which changed her dna and made her this half bug, yellow-eyed, blade-winged super soldier. she was the Zerg's greatest weapon and commander. and then her game was corrupted and she came to earth without her infestation or any of her powers. she looked like her former self again and was human, something she hadn't really been in a long time.

so basically, she's hugely, painfully socially weird. she never got a chance to be a kid, let alone normal, so she doesn't really know how to act in regular environments. she's a kickass fighter, obviously, but becoming human was really hard on her. now she's a bounty hunter, both in game town and in the real world. as far as storylines go, i'd love a couple people who seriously helped humanify her when she first came, because she would have been a mess. and then, the people i think she'd connect with most are the amoral assassins and soldiers. she was a baddie for a long time, so she'd get those types of people best. she probably wouldn't get anyone with a hero complex, but i'm fully willing to try her with those types! otherwise, give me anything you got!

tinboy
I'm bringing in Capcom's iconic robot boy, Mega Man. Much like his video game incarnation, Mega's a young boy with extraordinary abilities. In Gametown, he'll be the resident computer genius and techie, and his ability allows him to learn/absorb the knowledge of others by watching them, and he certainly loves to watch. He's very boy-like and has tons of energy. He knows the difference between right and wrong and isn't shy to call out adults on something if he see's them doing something he doesn't think is exactly kosher.

He hates it when people mistreat machines, and loves mechanics as a whole, so I'm guessing he'll probably be bugging Captain Falcon a lot. Obviosuly someone his age has to attend school, and he does just that, though I haven't quite figured out if he's going to keep up his own place ( hey, he's a very bright, resourceful kid ) or if someone in Gametown should act as his guardian. Any takers?

furan
Fran. Auto-mechanic. Partner to [info]balthiers. Former bunny warrior woman sky pirate from Final Fantasy XII. Total badass. Still pretty stoic, strong, and fierce when need be. But overall, she's just quiet, observant (maybe even unnervingly so at times), calm and laid-back, the type to have actions speak louder than words. But that's not to say she isn't clever (she knows how to put Balthier in his place) -- she's actually very wise, and way, way older than she looks. In fact, she's still having trouble adjusting to being human, even two years after crossing over. But she'd never let you know it, as Fran has a lot of guards up and can be summed up as aloof and secretive. Once you've got her trust and loyalty, though, it lasts a lifetime and then some. There's a bunch more in her bio if you're interested in delving into her psyche and her history. Meanwhile, I will take any and all lines you can throw at me!

icod
This is Ico from the game Ico. He is a new resident to Gametown, having only been in town a few months, and is still fairly hesitant of the other inhabitants of the community. However he can frequently be seen as one of the fiercest chess players that Central Park has ever known.

More information can be found in his journal and he can aso be reached at chess mate ico

so .... lines please?

Holla!

I have just recently applied with little Miss Ashley Graham from the Resident Evil series and am looking for (obviously) storylines! Ashley has been in Game Town for about a year, and is working as a personal assistant to a magazine editor. It's pretty much the lamest job for a former Harvard student to have, but she loves it. Ashley hasn't jumped gender or species since coming to Game Town, so obviously, she's still pretty much the same. Only now, she has a major thing for the "Prince Charming" cliche (wonder why...) Ashley now goes by Abbie Grant to the outside world. Any and all information can be found in her bio!

Now! Give me storylines a plenty!

leons
this is leon kennedy from resident evil. pretty much anything you want or need to know about him is in his bio, so i'll keep this short. also because i'm still half asleep and incoherent. he's been in game town for about four years, and since he didn't switch genders or species, he's more or less the same person he was in the game. he's gone from government agent to mall security guard, but he could still kick your ass. he seems kind of standoffish at first glance, but he's really a nice guy. if you're a pretty girl he's likely tried to score your number at some point and failed, and probably got loudly reminded by his supervisor that he's still on duty. spanish accents make him jumpy, he's got a thing for asian girls, blah blah, you get the picture. if you've got story line ideas, feel free to suggest them!

eccos
Hey everyone! I'm Shauna (pleased to meet you all!) and this here is the former Ecco the dolphin. Please tell me I'm not the only one who would spend hours just jumping around and frolicking in that game? At the time the graphics were top-notch, and I can remember just loving to make Ecco jump and spin up out of the water. But I digress!

Ecco, now named Amy, has been in town for a few years now, but still has yet to really master all the subtleties to being human. She's nice, but not your typical girl next door. Amy is open and honest, to a point where she sometimes comes off as blunt. She's not intentionally mean, she just hasn't yet perfected the art of tact and polite fibbing. At times she can also come off as naive. In my head, she reminds me a lot of Madison from the movie Splash. She's cute, but not exactly lady-like; just put her in front of a big, juicy burger and you'll find out first hand. No dainty picking for her!

Some quirks off the top of my head are that she loves the water, can still make authentic dolphin-like clicking noises (is that really considered a talent? I don't know), and she works at the local petshop. If you need a puppy, kitten, fish or bird, she's your girl! As for storylines, I'm open to anything and everything. When she first got to Gametown, it took her a long time to acclimate to her new lifestyle and open up to others. So setting up some pre-established friendships with some of the folks who have been around since the beginning would be great. Crushes would also be more than welcome :) Really, if anything comes to mind? Throw it at me and I'm sure we can work something out.

ayane
i would've posted one earlier, but i was super tired after i got done with the application. better now than never, right? anyways, this is ayane. everyone pretty much knows her as the ninja girl with the purple hair, never-hard-to-miss boobs, the really high kicks, and the grudge against her half-sister that never seems to end. well, people will now have to get to know her as the american teenage girl with the normal colored hair, unnoticeable boobs, long legs that still kick high (at least she still has the ability), and the still ongoing grudge against her sister (even if she wasn't there at the current moment). of course people prefer the game version of herself, she can't help but enjoy the life she's had to live for four years since her arrival. in fact, she'd choose sitting around eating marrons glaces over getting shurikens thrown at her daily, any day.

so her current status: she's fifteen and attending high school. she still has her 'quiet and reserved' personality, which has gotten her known as a 'mute' around the school. however, she does have a habit of speaking her mind, and it isn't always precious. she has a harsh sarcasm to her, as well as the cunning ability to manipulate the weaker minded people. she isn't a fan of the cute and always happy characters that she has been approached by because she finds them to be irritable to her nerves, but she does love attention they give her (something she didn't get from her own family). other than that, she fits in well with her new alias. she's a teenager, so any guy with nice hair and a cute smile will grab her attention as easily as a pink elephant taking a stroll down times square.

so, story lines? i'm really open to anything. maybe someone to be her guardian? i was thinking to get a christie in to corrupt her into being a mini her, but i'll be satisfied with whatever. before i leave you to commenting, i would like to ask you guys for help on something - a face for my character. i'm kinda caught between taylor momsen and willa holland, or anybody else that would blend in as a fifteen year old girl... any ideas? taylor or willa? suggestions are welcomed! thanks~

I had to hurry and get my application in last night, and I didn't get a chance to post for storylines. This is Alice, the title character in American McGee's Alice, and she is the Alice of Wonderland-fame. She's older, darker, and less sane than that version however considering her family died and she spent ten years in a mental asylum. She's been in Game Town almost since the beginning. She's Game Town's psychiatrist, meaning that she clears everyone coming into town to make sure they aren't going to go crazy.

Any storyline would be welcomed!

manbat
I figured I should post for storylines before anything else. This is the Cheshire Cat from American McGee's Alice. He's different from the Cat in Carroll's books because he's dark, twisted, and a lot more sarcastic and cowardly than the one in the books. He's also completely loyal to Alice. He can still turn invisible, and uses his powers to pop in on people unexpectedly. He works as Alice's secretary and personal assistant, and other stuff is in his bio!

Hello, everyone, I'm Daniel and I'm playing Dante off of the Devil May Cry games.

He's going by the name Dante Redgrave, part of an alias he's used before, and he's come to realize that for all the trouble they were, he actually misses the demonic forces of evil. Without them, there's nothing to SHOOT. So now he's lounging about, looking for work, mainly as an exteriminator, and sometimes as a body guard. His only real ability in the real world now is that he can take an obscene amount of punishment. Gunshot wounds, stabbings, maybe even getting hit by a car may leave him mangled and on the verge of death, but he'll recover within days depending on the severity of his wounds.

His hobbies include playing the electric guitar, going to the bar ( despite being broke a lot of the time ), and writing really bad heavy metal song lyrics. I'm open for any plots or ideas anyone has.

devours
So I wanted to make sure I actually got in before doing this. *cough*

This is Morrigan Aensland, from some obscure game called Darkstalkers. You may have seen her in crossovers such as Marvel v. Capcom or Capcom v. SNK or everything involving a mishmash of Capcom characters within the company and out--with the exception of SNK v. Capcom. =]

I'm pretty much setting her up in gametown for about 2 years now. She is a succubus, but she's a virgin. (how does this happen?) She gave guys wet dreams and fed off their sexual energy, she didn't sleep with them in person. So, now that that's out of the way, it's safe to say that her persona may make her come off as a woman with a voracious sexual appetite when...she's really just hungry. Though she's mostly adjusted, she still has a problem with distinguishing the two from each other.

She's generally nice and playful and very very flirty and forward. She's not afraid to use her body as a distraction, though she's not going to outright flash anyone. Enjoys helping people as she's very friendly, and won't leave people high and dry. She's a tad bit of a thrill-seeker, which is why she took on the occupation of a private investigator. She likes taking some of the oddest jobs ever, especially if they're dangerous.

In conclusion; I'm open to suggestions for plot stuffs. =)

137
so this is game town's resident alien.

meet cryptosporidium-137. he goes by "crypto", which is good because i keep misspelling the full name the first time i try and type it every time. he's from the game destroy all humans! which sets his tone for this game since he is Not Happy about being stuck in a human meatsack. especially not a fifteen year old human meatsack with hormones included. he's going to high school by day, and plotting to destroy the world by night.

he tends to be very vocal about how much he's going to kill and/or maim everyone. considering he's still going through the late stages of puberty, it's more adorable than scary, though. it doesn't help that he keeps getting carded every time he goes near a bar!

obviously, he's mostly going to have enemies. he's got one loyal minion though who doesn't even get paid! i'm easy, though, so hit me up.

jrousso
As Im still trying to work out all the details, I thought Id take a stab at one of these. This is Jenny Rousso AKA Pikachu from the world of Pokemon. Her personality is spunky, out-going and she has a pretty positive outlook on life. Shes very loyal when it comes to the ones that are closest to her and loves to talk to anyone she comes across no matter who they are. Shes 18, has been living in Game Town for about 3 years and works at a local electronics store. So, theres really nothing in particular I'm looking for. A roommate would be pretty sweet but the usual friends (lots of them), an enemy or two and really anything else you can throw at me would be great.

thalman
so, it was about time that i filled out one of these! jimmy thalman, most likely known to his game character peers as kirby, is about as positive and kind as his pink counter-part. he's been in the area for about four years now and introduced to game town officially by the peach but didn't actually move into this section of the city until recently -- earlier this year, i'm thinking. he works at a local bakery and he's pretty sociable! that said, he'll probably need a roommate who he moved in with, friends and -- though he doesn't think he's too awful a person -- maybe a couple of people who are irritated by him, though he's oblivious to it. anything and everything is good.
