Who: Capri ([info]cjagger) & Andon ([info]ar_)
What: Andon and Capri talking after he stops by her place.
Where: Capri's apartment.
When: Sunday afternoon.
Rating: TBD
Status: Incomplete

It had been a little over a week since Capri's last encounter with Andon Russell. She told him that she wanted him to leave her alone and begged him to let her go. It must have sunk him with him because she had not heard from him since that night. There were no phone calls, messages, no replies to her blog, no gifts, nothing. Their encounter had left her physically and emotionally drained. After walking away from him that night, Capri immediately went home and curled up in bed. Alone in her room, the tears that she refused to let Andon see flowed freely. She was frustrated, angry, and sad, but most of all she was hurt. He betrayed her in the worst way possible and now he was just denying it every time when confronted. That was how she went to sleep that night, with all those emotions coming out of her. The hardest part now was he was living in the same town as her, every time she saw him was a constant reminder of all the pain she went through. It was like pouring salt on a wound over and over again. He asked her if she wanted him to leave her alone and if that was what she wanted, he would do as she asked. The answer was yes. It was what she wanted and she didn't leave him much choice after walking away. Capri meant those words, and now she would never have to see him again.

In the time since then, Capri kept herself busy with the studio and hanging out with her roommate. Today, however, she would be without her since Jovi was planning this amazing trip to France, leaving her alone in the house. On this Sunday afternoon, Capri curled up in the living room and watched mindless television. It was a welcomed distraction from all the drama going on in her life. With no plans on leaving her apartment any time in the day, she dressed in a pair of sweat pants and a simple tank top. It was supposed to be an easy going and relaxing day. A knock on the door forced Capri to actually get off the couch, it was probably a package or something for her roommate. It wasn't. Instead when she opened the door, it was Andon waiting for her on the other side. So much for his promise. She was about to shut the door in his face, when he stopped her. "What do you want?"

All he had to do was listen.  She had given him instruction this entire time that could possibly enable them time together, a reconciliation to an extent.  Maybe they could agree on a median that would appease the both of them.  All Andon wanted was his better half to be there with him.

Being in Dallas for a week allowed him a bit of time to think, as opposed to acting on impulse, since Capri was close enough to visit.  She had requested he admit to his mistakes, and he would avoid the truth time and again.  Today was that day.  Today is the day he would tell Capri the truth, he decided.  She deserved that much, anyway.  Despite already possessing the knowledge of his infidelity, all she wanted was to hear the admission from his own mouth, to his understanding.  Andon was en route to Galveston, having covered more than ninety percent of the miles it took to arrive at Capri's apartment; he was driving within the vicinity of 100 miles per hour to reach her.  Hopefully she was home.  Today was Sunday, so Baila was closed.

Physically, Andon was drained, so he was hopeful that Capri wouldn't put up a huge fight from the get-go when she seen him at her door.  The organized players-only workouts set up by the Cowboys' captains were demanding, mainly because he wasn't in the shape he preferred when beginning them.  Now, he was at Capri's door knocking. Patiently, he waited for Capri to open the door.  Initially, a wave of relief washed over him that she was at home.  The four-hour drive wasn't a waste.  Even if she wasn't home, he would have waited.  But now that she answered and saw it was him, she wanted to slam the door in his face.  Andon's palm crashed into the center of the door, halting Capri's attempt to shut him out.  "Capri!" he shouted, mostly by default since he was the midst of trying to prevent the door from closing.  "Look, I ..... -- baby, look, I want to tell you.  I'm ready to tell you what you want to hear."  He actually appeared sad.  And he was.  His sound, his tone was a defeated one: "Can I come in?  Please."

Deep down, Capri knew that Andon would never have kept his promise to leave her alone. It shouldn't have been a surprise that he was hear on her doorstep right now. He was a man on a mission and fiercely determined to get her and their relationship back. She knew all too well that once Andon set his mind on something, he wouldn't stop until he got it. He wouldn't succeed thought. Their relationship was beyond repair. His lack of admission only made their break-up worse. With that admission, she could finally have some closure. She just didn't understand how it could be so hard for him to say those words, especially when she already knew the truth. It wasn't like it could hurt his chances, since he didn't have any, and in fact it could actually help him in the end.

She looked at him skeptically. He looked just so defeated and drained. Was this just a tactic to get inside her apartment or was he actually going to tell her the truth? It could be a decision she would probably regret later and went against her better judgement, but Capri stepped aside, moved the door slightly aside, and let him in without saying a word. Once he was inside, she shut the door behind her and looked at him straight in the eye. "You have ten minutes." Right now she wasn't in the mood for Andon's little games. She wanted the truth and she wanted it soon. If he thought he was going to come in and run circles around her, he had another thing coming. "Well?"

Thankfully, she answered the door.  Now, he could put together his explanation, the one he had for her.  The truth.  Only, he was now going to freeze up.  Andon had completely forgotten how he was going to begin his presentation now that Capri was live and in-person.  It wasn't as difficult when talking to one's self.  The pressure was on as well, as she had allotted him only ten minutes to get his point across.  "Okay," he started.  "Where do you want me to start?  I'm sorry ... this is hard, Capri.  Bear with me.  Please."

How could he almost forget!  "Hold on before you close the door!"  Andon was inside, but he jumped back toward the door before Capri could shut it.  He stepped one foot out the door and kneeled some, summoning something. "C'mere, boy; c'mere, man!"  A small bark emitted before he was visible to Capri.  Andon looked up at her briefly, offering a small smile.  That was when the puppy trotted up.  The red-nosed pit bull barked again.

Andon lifted the puppy from the ground and held him in his arms.  He shrugged at Capri, a slight smirk remaining.  "You can name him."

Where she wanted him to start? Was he really asking her that question? To Capri the answer was simple. Tell the truth and move on, for both of their sakes. She was tired of the games and his constant denial, which was why she gave him a short amount of time to explain himself. "You can start by telling the truth," she said in a hard voice.

What was he up to now? She looked at Andon with confusion, she thought he was there to explain everything, not pull some tricks. "Who are you talk-" Capri didn't even finish her sentence when a little adorable puppy came walking in her door. He was playing dirty. He remembered about her wanting a dog when they were still a couple and now was using it against her. She shook her head at him in disbelief. A car she could turn away, but she couldn't turn away a little puppy with no where to go. Approaching the dog and Andon slowly, she took the little pit bull puppy from him. "Hey little guy," she smiled. It was one of the first real smiles she had in a long time. The puppy just gave a appreciative lick to her cheek.

The naming of the dog could wait however, she wasn't going to let Andon distract her from what he had to tell her. "So you had something you wanted to tell me?" She reminded.

"Him," said Andon, trying to contain the baby pit bull's movement.  The puppy was squirming wildly while in his possession, trying eagerly to get to Capri.  He began chuckling; the pit bull took an immediate liking to his new owner as he handed him over.  It surprised Andon when Capri skipped commenting on him possibly purchasing the puppy in an attempt to win her back; however, he enjoyed the fact that she was receptive to the pit bull.  He admired her smile.  It was one he hadn't seen in ages, it felt like.  On second thought, it wasn't for Andon.  Still, he simply watched her and the puppy form an immediate bond.

"I do."  That brief moment was over; it was back to reality, the reason for his visit to her -- the real attempt at repairing the damage he had caused.  Andon stepped back into Capri's apartment and shut the door for her this time.  "I even have food for him in the car.  I just wanted to make sure you wanted him first."

He lifted his hands, palm up.  Andon wasn't intentionally stalling, as Capri probably would have guessed.  "Okay, okay.  The reason I'm here ... Capri ... is .. I want to tell you I was wrong."  Andon's heart rate commenced an acceleration, his chest heaved as he tried controlling it with an inhale.  He could only imagine what would ensue following his confession.  He anticipated a slap, an expression of hurt or anger.  He didn't know.  The reaction could be devastating.  About the only response he wouldn't expect was a positive one.  "What you accused me of wasn't an accusation at all.  I did it.  ...I slept with another woman that night."  It was just a natural reaction when he stepped back.  No planning, nothing preconceived; he had no idea why he did it (after it was done).  Andon just took a step back and observed Capri.

With the puppy in her arms she knew there was no way she could turn him away, despite the fact she would now always associate him Andon. The little pit bull was too adorable and she instantly bonded with the small dog. How could she not with those little blue eyes and energetic personality? A few names were starting to form in her head for the pit bull. The puppy seemed to enjoy being with Capri as it continued to lick her face and for a second she felt happy again. Still a puppy wouldn't fix the issue at hand.

"Thanks." She replied, putting the puppy on the couch. "Go on Jazz," she encouraged softly to the pit bull, using the name she picked out for him. The dog in turn curled into a tiny ball on the couch. "I'm listening." Her hand on her hips as she waited for him to explain himself.

Her heart was racing as well, she was about to possibly hear the truth from Andon himself. She mentally and physically prepared herself for the words to come from him. Despite already the truth about his infidelity, it didn't make it any easier to hear about it. Capri was almost wondering if she wanted to hear it at all. Then the words came out and it hit her hard. She couldn't breathe, furious tears came down her face. She had always thought hearing them would bring her some type of closure, but all she felt was anger and pain. She didn't know what to say or do, she just blacked out. Before she knew it her hand met his cheek as she slapped him hard with all her might. The sound startled Jazz on the couch. A red hand print was clearly visible on his face. "How could you do this to me? To us?"

Andon tried smiling when Capri set the pit bull on the couch and encouraged him along.  It was feigned somewhat.  He was focused on the imminent information he was about to deliver, the reason his smile wasn't genuine.  It had already been eating him alive to know that he had done wrong by Capri, and it made him feel worse that she found out about it, which resulted in hurting her and ending their future.  Now, he was about to tell her himself.  Capri had already learned of his mistake through a somewhat reliable source.  A source that was involved directly.

Andon nodded approvingly his head at the name Capri had given the puppy.  It was good, plus it carried a relation to her profession.  Jazz.  That smile that was present there was real.

He wouldn't be smiling much longer.  Following his confession, Andon instantly frowned at Capri's reaction; it saddened him to see the woman he loved even more than football affected negatively by what he had just said.  He couldn't stand to see Capri cry.  That was probably how she cried when she was told about his infidelity.  Only he couldn't see her.  He was in Philadelphia that night.

Honestly, Andon never saw the slap coming!  One minute, it was just there. Smack!  A loud clap-like sound erupted from the blast Capri laid on his face.  Andon literally stumbled a couple steps, his face scrunched up in a grimace.  A hand print on his face had formed instantly, and he opened his mouth wide as if stretching his jaw.  "Shit!  Fuck that hurt!" he exclaimed.  He actually looked upset that she struck him, but he couldn't blame her.  It was his doing, after all.  "Capri, that wasn't me that night!  I didn't do it just to do it!  I've told you that!  I was drinking, the fact that we were gonna miss the playoffs ... all that was setting in.  You weren't there [because I was in Philly]!  It was a lot of things, but nothing you had done to make me do it.  It was dumb.  Dumb and stupid."  His confession was only six months too late.  "I'm sorry!"

Andon stood there favoring his cheek.

This was like hearing about his infidelity all over again, except it was his voice and his words that were telling her. There was no trace or intent of malice in his voice, unlike the last time she heard those similar words. Instead there the tone of his voice was regretful and remorseful, she could even detect a hint of sadness in there as well. No matter how sincere he was it would change the fact that he slept with another woman and betrayed her.

The day she first discovered about Andon's affair, she went through so many different emotions. First there was sadness. All she did was cry to the point where her eyes were swollen and red. Then there was anger. A lot of valuables were thrown around and broke. Anything in their home having to do with Andon Russell was destroyed, mainly some of his possessions and a few picture frames. The last step was acceptance. With a clear head, Capri decided to leave before he came home. The statement would be obvious. She packed up everything she owned, leaving all the gifts Andon gave her, except for one necklace she couldn't let go of, and left town.

Adrenaline was pumping through her after the slap. Her jade eyes wide and furious, her breathing heavy. She didn't know what came over her, there was just a fury that took over and felt the need to hurt him as badly as he hurt her. Normally she would be apologetic after causing bodily harm, but in Capri's mind he deserved it and so much more. "Wasn't you?" She yelled. Of course he wasn't going to take any responsibility for what he did. He was going to blame it on everything else- the drinks and even here. "It wasn't you that fucked some other woman. I'm sorry you must have an evil twin out there somewhere." She retorted back angrily. His explanation was weak. "All you had to do was call me! You know I would have been there in a heartbeat." That was how much she loved Andon Russell. The minute he needed her, no matter where she was, she would have dropped everything to go be with him.

"You're sorry? You're sorry!" The volume of her voice was getting louder and harsher. She ran up to him, pounding her hands on his hard chest. He caught her hands by the wrist to get her to stop. She looked up at him, the tears still streaming down her face.

Capri packed a punch!  All of the fury and resentment she had built up toward was harnessed into the slap she struck him with.  Andon had no idea Capri could hit so damn hard.  He couldn't recall being hit as hard.  Andon wanted to tell her she hit him like a man, granted it was a slap.  "You know what I mean," he tried reasoning.  "It was me, just uncharacteristic of me.  'Pri, you know I'm not like that; you know I'm not that guy!"

"I know that [I could've called you] now.  It was a huge mistake, baby.  All I can do is learn from it.  It's one mistake I'll never make again.  I promise you that."  Capri was fuming.  Andon had never witnessed her like this before, not even other times where they were on the subject of his poor decision-making.  He couldn't take the tears running from her eyes; he shook his head.  There was nothing else he could offer aside from this apology.  Nothing at the moment.

"Yes, I'm sorry.  I just wanted you to hear it from me.  Finally."  If there was one mistake he made after the biggest one of his life, it was waiting so long to come clean about his infidelity.  Now, Capri was at it again: She charged him, trying to pound away at him.  Andon was maneuvering his face from side to side in case she was aiming there again.  He would never hit her back, but he had to put an end to the onslaught.  Andon had caught ahold of Capri's arms by wrists, restraining her. "Capri, stop!"  He turned her right arm inside to her body, spinning her around to put her back to him; Andon folded her arms over her chest as he pulled her into him.  "Baby, stop.  That's over.  Let's put that behind us.  It meant nothing.  That shit tore is apart, and I don't want that.  I want to be back with you.  I never wanted to be away from you.  Capri, let me back in."  He put his cheek to her own.  He released one of her arms so his hand could come up to wipe her tears.

Capri was blinded by all the rage and resentment she had been holding in since she left him in December. She had reached her boiling point and all the emotions she had pent up couldn't be held in any longer. With each punch and each tear, she was letting all that pain and fury out. It wasn't like her to lash out and get physical with him. Normally she kept a level and clear, but hearing his confession was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Deep down she knew that she wouldn't have cared so much now, if she wasn't still in love with him. If he had done something other than cheated there would actually be a chance at a reconciliation, but he destroyed any chance of reconciliation. It hurt so much knowing they had so many plans and dreams together. They had talked about marriage and kids, a real future. He threw all that away for a meaningless one night stand and that was what killed her the most. Not that he knew that her father did the same thing and promised not to do that to her, but that she believed him and he ended up doing it anyway.

"You're a little too late," she spat. Her fist still kept trying to meet his hard body until he got her to stop and actually restrained her. Before she knew it, his arms were around her. She struggled against him, trying to get away. The last thing she wanted was for Andon to have any sort of power over her. However, she did stop. Capri didn't have anymore fight left in her to keep struggling and moving. Instead she only cried harder, her legs almost gave out underneath her. It would have been so easy to give into him, she actually believed he was sorry and wanted to be with her. "I can't..." she whispered.

"I know," admitted Andon.  "I realized that long ago.  I've never been in a situation like this before, so the only way I knew how to handle the situation was to try to convince you that it didn't happen, that it was just some woman who was out to get money."  In actuality, that's what it was -- and Andon fell for the trap -- but he wouldn't add that tidbit in there, as it would make him appear as though he's making excuses.  It was best to admit to his mistake and accept the blame and consequences behind that decision.  At this point, he had to apply some thought into getting Capri to even want to be near him again; Andon had to play it smart from here on out.  This would be no easy task.

His possession of her was firm to subdue her movement.  Eventually, Capri would relinquish the struggle.  Andon was relieved.  They could possibly have a conversation with zero violence.  He felt a sudden shift in Capri's body; it felt as if she was going to crash to the floor.  In a swift motion, with left arm scooping her up behind her knees, Andon removed Capri from her feet.  "You can, baby.  You know I'll never do it again.  I will never do you wrong again."

Initially, he stepped into the next room, which was the kitchen.  Andon wasn't familiar with Capri and her roommate's apartment, so he didn't know where he was going.  "Where's your room?  Let's go lay down.  I'll lay down with you."

A strange feeling came through when Andon picked her up bridal style. She wrapped her arms around his neck and her face was buried in his neck. Slowly the tears lessened and she was slowly starting to calm down. The hysterical crying turned into a few small sobs and then little hiccups here and there. There was no need to hit or cause him harm anymore. It was a weird sensation being his arms, for some odd reason she felt safe and protected. It would have been so easy to give in to him at that point, when he was gentle and only wanting to hold her close. There was a brief moment where she looked at him straight in the eye, in that moment she didn't know what was going to happen.

The next minute, he was moving with her still in his arms. It took Capri a moment to figure where they were in her apartment and she quickly snapped out of it. The kitchen only a few more spaces from her bedroom. The reconciliation would never happen, no matter how much Andon wanted it. Besides, most likely he didn't want to go to her bedroom to just lay, he wanted sex. There was no way Capri would fall for that. At this point, she could imagine having sex with Andon again with everything that was going on between them "No," she had found her voice and shook her head. "Put me down." There was an attempt to let him go as she waited for him to put her down.

There was a sense of familiarity while he carried Capri through her home, only it wasn't in this manner.  When he carried her in previous situations, it was over his shoulder and at times they were engaged in horseplay.  Andon grinned as he a Capri looked in one another's eyes.  She was receptive to him for the first time since he had initially found her in Galveston at her dance studio.  As much of a fight she had put up with him, it seemed that his confession would pay immediate dividends.  The slap hurt, of course, but at least they weren't at odds at the moment.

Andon was a few feet away from Capri's room when asked to be released and set down.  He was confused.  "No what?" he asked.  "Why?"  His thoughts had clearly gotten ahead of him.  She was still upset.  "I'm not understanding, 'Pri.  I'll put you down in your bed."  He managed to make it into Capri's bedroom before she introduced movement that forced him to inevitably set her down; he didn't want to drop her.  "Capri, what happened?  What's wrong?"  Andon had set her on her feet when they were next to her bed; he sat on the bed and looked up at Capri, his right hand reached out to settle onto her hip.

"I don't want to lay down and I don't want to lay down with you." Her voice stern, but not hard as it once was. It was too late however since now she was standing in her bedroom with him sitting on her bed. Laying down together would lead to other things, and she couldn't let that happen. All she could do was stand there in front of him. The hand print from her slap was still visible. Her hand moved to his chin to see it better. The red mark marred the side of his handsome face. She couldn't believe she did that to the man she once loved, let's face it the man she still loved. He wouldn't and couldn't ever know that though, not with the wall she had built since he was unfaithful to her.

All of this because he had told her the truth. It was what she had wanted or thought she did. "Be careful what you wish for," her thought was spoken out loud to herself with a shake of the head. "I'm sorry for hitting you." Now having absorbed everything, Capri was able to handle herself like a mature woman, not an emotional wreck. "I should get you some ice or something for that." Before he could protest, she was out of the room and in her kitchen getting him some ice to make the mark go away. Little Jazz was simply sitting on the couch with a confused look on his puppy dog face. Capri scooped him up in her arms, taking him up to the bedroom with her. "Here." She handed him the bag of ice and set Jazz on the floor, where he decided to sleep in the pile of clothes in her closet.

"We can really talk now," she sat down next to him. "I promise I won't hit you again."

Clearly, Capri foresaw Andon's intentions and put a stop them.  She knew him well.  Still, he acted as if he was confused by what she was referring to.  "Capri, I was just trying to help," stated Andon.  "I figured if we laid down, we could talk about it, try to figure out our future."  Always optimistic, he was.  Andon assumed by confessing, Capri would forgive him, they would reconcile, and they could then move forward together.

"Say what?"  That was when he realized she was talking to herself.  She then apologized for striking him.  "Look, don't worry about that.  N-no, Capri, I don't .. need any ice."  His last three words fell on deaf ears, because Capri trotted away before he could really answer.  His eyes were glued to her ass as she walked away, however, and he smiled.  He felt the two of them were making progress.  With Capri walking away from him, who knows how she would feel when she returned?  She returned with Jazz, handing him a bag of ice.  "I didn't need it."  He shook his head, smirking at Jazz, who walked to a pile of clothes to lay in when Capri set him down.

Andon laid back on his back and set the bag to the left side of his face; he had his head turned, lying to the right so he wouldn't have to hold the ice with his hands.  "About us?  About what's going on with us?"  He laughed at the promise Capri made.  "We'll see."  Unable to see her, Andon reached his arm up, his hand settling on her back as he began to rub gently, gradually moving lower.

Capri didn't know how they got to this point, everything seemed to have snowballed since he came to town. If someone would have told her six months ago that she would have Andon Russell in her bed again, she would have told them they were crazy. Yet here she was, with the man in question laying in her bed with her back turned to him. It took a slap for her to willingly accept the idea of talking to him. All their other encounters were confrontational, emotional, and usually ended up with her either demanding or begging him to leave her alone. This one was that and then some, but a weird calm took over and she could think clearly.

Her eyes closed feeling his hand on her back. It would be so easy to give into him right now, which was what her heart was telling her to do. Her mind was fighting that idea, reminding her why she left him in the first place. Turning to face him, she spoke. "There is no us, Andon." Her voice soft. It pained her to say those words, but in her head they were the right thing to say. "It's over."

The bag of ice slid off his face and onto the bed as Andon turned his head to Capri, shifting his attention to her fully.  "Discombobulated" couldn't even describe the expression on his face.  "What do you mean 'there's no us?'" he asked.  Her body had felt great.  It was a sign of good news that Capri wasn't avoiding his touch.  Or so he thought.

Andon had sat up now, Capri and him looking into one another's eyes.  He was truly lost as to how his confession hadn't brought on a resurgence to their relationship.  He was actually expecting an immediate turnaround -- based on Capri's past requests.  "It's over?  Capri, are you serious?!"  She was calm, while he was borderline hysterical.  Andon couldn't understand why his confession did not work.  He genuinely wanted to apologize and confess, but he also expected it to pay off right away.  "I don't believe this."  He stood from her bed and walked to the opposite side of Capri's bedroom, his fingers in his hair.  "...wow."

The bag of ice was melting on her bed.

The look on his face actually made her feel sorry for him, but he caused this, not her. Andon made his bed, now he had to lie in it. He couldn't get her back, with his confession. She was glad that he did that for her, but it didn't mean that they would be getting back together. It meant that she could hate him less and maybe start talking to him as a friend. Her head just wouldn't let that wall come down. "What do I have to explain, Andon?"

Green eyes met brown as he sat up. Usually it was her being the one getting hurt, now the roles were reversed. She wasn't really expecting this reaction from him, she was hoping that he would accept the fact they could never be together again. Like him, she also rose from her bed. She put her hand comfortingly on his back. It was strange that she wanted to touch him again. "Yes I'm serious. Andon, you cheated on me." She saw the look on his face, then put up her hand to stop him from saying something when he turned around. "I know you're sorry, but it's not something I can get over overnight." She would leave out the part of still being in love with him out. "You still hurt me, Andon. Badly."

The bag of ice went unnoticed by her, all she was focus on was trying to make Andon understand. "Imagine if it was me who did this? Would you want me back?"

He gave Capri a look filled with incredulity.  She would maintain her stance against them reuniting while he was persistent in them returning to how things used to be.  "What I would like for you to explain is what I need to do to get you back.  Draw it out for me, because I'm obviously failing at it."

Andon now realized that his pleading and gift-giving ways were ultimately getting him nowhere.  He was making zero progress, according to Capri.  The fight to win her back wouldn't end, however.  Eventually, Andon assumed, she would break down and let him close to her again.  It was difficult to be a patient guy when the results were immediate majority of the time.  "I understand," he admitted.  Providing Capri with space could also do the trick.  Possibly.  He would put in an honest effort to not be so overwhelming.

Like before, Andon looked at Capri in disbelief.  He then laughed.  "Hell yeah!  Look at you!  That's not a serious question, 'Pri.  I know how we can be together; you are everything to me.  So the answer is yes -- without a doubt.  Look!"  He stuck his right hand into his pocket and tugged out two keys on a key ring.  "I did this for us.  I went a bought us a house because I was so sure we were getting back together soon.  It's beautiful, Capri.  Almost as beautiful as you."  Andon's left hand came beneath Capri's chin, lifting her face up a bit.  He wanted a smile from her at least.  He offered her the keys.  "Here.  They're still yours."

Hearing his statement, Capri gave a long sigh. He was still stuck on the idea that they would get back together and just pick up where they left off. Her heart would have loved to, but her head felt otherwise. "You're not getting me back, Andon. I'm not ready and It hurts too much." She answered back. "What I can do is talk to you again, as a friend." Those were the words no man wanted to hear, and she said them.

His answer shocked her. If the roles were reversed, she would have expected for him to throw her out on her ass, looks or no looks. A little part of her felt guilty for pushing him away seeing that he was serious and he would love her no matter what, but it was the right thing to do. Actions had consequences and his was not getting her back. Her eyes looked to the floor and to Jazz, who was sleeping soundly. "You what?" She asked surprised. He got them a house? He was that confident that they would get back together. It showed her that he knew that they belonged together, though she was too stubborn to say it. It was the truth she loved him, but she was still weary of getting hurt.

It took her a minute to realize that he was giving her keys to what would have been their home in this town. "Andon... I..." She had no words. She shouldn't have taken them from him, but she did. Putting the cold keys in the palm of her hand. "I can't believe this." She said incredulously.

Andon's left hand dropped from Capri's face, his face straightened out -- going blank -- and the keys to the recently-purchased home were set in her hands, but only because her palm was close enough.  The keys were actually released abruptly from Andon's possession.  Capri's question went unanswered, and he didn't even respond to her verbal declining of the keys (even though she ultimately accepted them).  All he heard were the words "as a friend."

Andon was floored.  It felt as if his heart unattached itself and leapt out through his left pectoral, slowly slid down underneath his shirt and crashed to the floor.  Suddenly, he had the feeling that he was nervous.  That was a feeling he hadn't suffered from since his first regular-season game as a rookie back in 2001.  Andon was lost; he didn't know what else to do.  He looked to Jazz for a brief moment, then he stepped to the left before going back to the right and exiting Capri's bedroom.  "All right," he said, for no apparent reason.  Those words just emitted.  Perhaps that was his response to her.  He surely didn't know what he had just said.

He, out of nowhere, began sweating while headed toward the front door of Capri's apartment; Andon's hands raked through his hair once again and his arms slid across his forehead to rid of the sweat that appeared.  He opened her front door and just stood there.  Andon was blind.  He couldn't even recall what just occurred -- and he would be unable to explain what would transpire thereafter.

He yelled!  For no reason, he shouted, then proceeded to cock his right arm back after positioning himself to face the wall just inside the door (to the left for someone's point of view facing inside of the apartment) so he could send his fist crashing into and through it.  Andon's arm breached the wall up to his elbow.  He pulled his arm out and abandoned the scene, slowly walking to his SUV, the door remaining wide open.
