PRIDE OF PORTREE FLYING HIGH | |
By Susan Weatherall | |
Over the past six months, there's been blood, sweat and tears as the league has battled it out in all weathers and sometimes for days on end. Finally, the cream has risen to the top and we're about to dig into the play-offs. We've got some simply delicious matches lined up over the coming weeks. The Pride of Portree are top of the league at this stage and are eager to hold into their champion status from last season. "We think the trophy looks great in our cabinet," said captain Meaghan McCormack with a grin. |
Saturday March 17th Pride of Portree V Wimbourne Wasps Saturday March 31st Ballycastle Bats V Kenmare Kestrels Saturday April 14th Holyhead Harpies V Appleby Arrows Saturday April 28th Falmouth Falcons V Montrose Magpies |
However, the Ballycastle Bats have been hot on their heels all season and with the Department of Magical Games and Sports gearing up to announce the national teams for this summer's World Cup tournament in just a few weeks, we know every player in the league is going to be going 120%. |
