| About: | Premise It's 2009, and the aftermath of another crippling war between those who want to remain in hiding and those who wish to rule the Muggles has left the wizarding world reeling. Thousands of wizards are dead, and more have fled the country. Officially, the danger has passed and the conflict is over, but it's hard to leave behind years of suspicion when enemies and allies have been so hard to distinguish. Hogwarts is opening again after being closed for the worst five years of the war, hoping to restore some sense of order by training the young wizards and witches of Britain and providing them with a safe haven. 'Safe' is not necessarily the word for Hogwarts as it is, however. Occupation during the war and the work of operatives within the castle has left the halls of Hogwarts riddled with leftover magical booby traps, Dark artifacts, depleted supplies, and failing charms. The new staff has their work cut out for them. And they definitely are a new staff. With previous generations of wizards mostly dead, incarcerated, or missing, Hogwarts has had to turn to a younger work force to fill the holes left by the war. Gone are the days when a professor at Hogwarts had decades of experience and complete mastery of the field; now anyone who passed their NEWTs is a qualified candidate for a teaching position. - Applications and Game Info | ||||||||||
