We saw the Questing Beast, which was supposed to foreshadow a lot of strife for Camelot. I'm eager to see what happens there - and hopefully to see more politics with other kingdoms or within the court play out.

Yes, I really hope they play on this more. I hope S2 doesn't open with a reset. I want to see Merlin dealing with this new power he has, and I want there to be some fallout from the Questing Beast -- such an important plot in these legends, and the way they played it out was a little disappointing. (Not in terms of Merlin's sacrifices and all, I thought that was awesome. Just in the actual, you know, finding and slaying of the beast.)

And Gwen! I want so much to like her, but they're not giving us much to hang on. We know she has a sense of justice but it's not really been given much voice yet. I really hope they'll bring her into her own before throwing her at Arthur. At the moment, they're horribly mismatched.

I completely agree. I'm still being hopelessly shippy and hoping Arthur/Gwen will only be some kind of arrangement. :P
