We are taught, from an extremely young age, that attachment is forbidden. That when we lose someone dear to us... not to mourn, and to instead celebrate that they are now one with The Force.

And while it is not an easy thing to do... I have managed, for quite a long time, to do just that. Even with the number of friends I've lost to war, both by death and by betrayal, I keep to the Jedi creed.

But now that, in this place, the new Jedi Order is encouraging embracing attachment, I'm finding that allowing myself to miss those I've lost is both surprisingly natural, and incredibly painful.

Padme. Satine. Qui-Gon. Cody. Master Yoda. Allowing myself to miss them is both relieving and crushing.

You know, let's all be honest here for a minute.

No matter how tough you are, how much of a loner you claim to be... nobody wants to be alone around the holidays. I know I don't.

And face it: because of the purges (and the fact that the reality gem seriously sucks), there's an awful lot of us that are gonna be facing Christmas/Hanukkah/Life Day/Kwanzaa/Whatever alone this year.

So I can't be the only one thinking a singles mixer is a good idea. Just a way for all of us to have a halfway decent shot at meeting someone to enjoy the holidays with.

All ages, all races, all species... we can make sure people are separated by age so nothing gross happens... let's just have fun, dammit.

Anyone interested?

[ The video opens on Silena looking cute, but comfortable, in a pink flowy top paired with a pair of white shorts. Her makeup is perfectly done in with glowing pink highlights, and her hair falls around her shoulders in soft, summery waves.

She's sitting alone in the amphitheater at Camp Halfblood, the lake sparkling behind her. She beams at the camera and gives it a little wave, before adjusting herself slightly in her chair. An acoustic guitar rests gently on her lap.

"Hi, everyone. I'm Silena. I can be pretty quiet sometimes, so most of you probably don't know me all that well. Or at all." She shrugs one shoulder lightly before giving another smile.

"But I've auditioned to be on Universal Idol this year, so I wanted to get some practice in sharing music with others. This is a little song called Homecoming Queen, and I really hope you like it."

She begins to strum the guitar and plays the following song. As the last notes fade away, she tucks her hair behind her ears a little self-consciously before speaking once more.

"If you made it this far, I really appreciate it. Thanks for taking the time to listen, and I just hope you enjoyed it."

The video fades to black on Silena saying goodbye, and the video ends. ]

So far, I haven't had to do any Avenger type things. I haven't met them all, but so far everyone has been very nice. I think I'm going to like it.

I need someone to spar with. Obviously, I have an advantage, but I won't use it. I'm sure I'd be fine without sparring. I miss the workout and the interaction with others.

Today, I am happy. For today, I got a present, my horse Zeus from Themyscira. I went to bed thinking of him, wishing I had something from home wishing I could take one more ride and there he was this morning.

It took me time to figure out what happened. So I wished for my mother, Queen Hippolyta. Unfortunately, that did not work.

I do not know why this happened, I may never know.

Today, I am happy.

I find myself wandering from one realm to another. I guess old habits die hard, I can't stop patrolling. It's all I can do to keep from walking every where.

Galador is beautiful from the sky. That was the first time I tried to get out of this place. There is an invisible barrier in the sky.

Is there some group or organization where a meta human may work, guard the planet, be a bodyguard?

I would like some company. I miss Themyscira. I'll even admit to missing Gotham.

I just left the Welcome Center. Everyone was nice there. I think they answered all my questions.
