Keep Calm and Carry on
Who: Introducing Prue Martel (and her NPC children, Eric Jr. and Eleanor)
Where: Mar-Vell Park
When: Wednesday, December 23rd - Late
What: Eric's family arrives
Rating: Likely low; will update if need be
Status: Open; Ongoing

Prue had just received the call that people who were married to police officers dreaded. Her husband had been shot. An ambulance had been arranged, they were looking for him... they were looking for him? She collected her children and was almost in the car when they were engulfed by a blinding white light and transported to Galador. They'd been in the drive-way, still in their pyjamas and suddenly they were in a lush green park in the dead of night. Eleanor started to cry loudly in her arms. She bounced her in an effort to calm her. "It's okay, Nellie. I know, it was sooooo bright, wasn't it? Scared me too," she said softly, trying to stay calm as she assessed her new surroundings.

"Momma," Eric Jr. said, tugging on her pant leg to get her attention. "Momma, where are we?"

"I don't know, E.J," Prue replied. Once Eleanor had calmed enough she set her on her feet, then Prue took a long stabilizing breath and set a hand on her heavily pregnant belly. Remember that poster that you like, she thought. Keep Calm and Carry on. "Hey look," she pointed, "that sign. It says 'Welcome'. That seems like as good a place as any to find out."

Luckily for Prue (and more importantly, the kids), the first person they came across wasn't a superhero, or a wizard, or a Jedi. It was a familiar face.

While they'd never seen him with the slightly-longer hair or the beard he was rocking these days, there was no mistaking the gravelly voice or deep, piercing eyes of Jeremy Lewis.

Jeremy had been at the Welcome Center the last few hours, visiting a few friends and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas... but as he was leaving, he happened to witness Prue and the kids appearing in the park.

Thinking quickly (because in CA, it wouldn't have been cool much less snowing, he grabbed a few blankets, sprinting out to meet them.

"Prue! Hey!" He called out, taking off his leather jacket as he walked, fully intending on giving it to Prue to wear.

"... Paul Bunyan?" Prue asked. Carbon monoxide poisoning. Has to be. I knew that I should have had the gas heater checked, she thought. When Jeremy got closer, however, she saw his eyes and immediately recognized him. "Jeremy!" She called out happily, glad to see a familiar face in all of the confusion.

She gratefully accepted the blankets and tended to her children first before drawing her attention back to him. "I feel like I somehow stumbled upon a portal to Narnia," she admitted, looking around with wonder. Snow. So much snow. "Where are we?" She whispered softly, echoing her son's question from a moment before.

"Another beard joke. Awesome." He chuckled, shaking his head. Between Isa and now Prue, he felt like this would be a thing for as long as he decided to keep the damn thing.

"Merry Christmas. You're on another planet, in a different reality." He deadpanned, draping his jacket over her shoulders. "Be prepared for things that are gonna blow your mind. Not even lightly exaggerating."

He was lucky that she didn't start singing The Lumberjack Song at him (although it was certainly something that she was thinking very loudly).

"Christmas?" She blinked. Back home it was still November! She accepted the jacket with a grateful nod and then looked around again. There were Christmas decorations up and about... and that beard sure wasn't there the last time that she spoke to him.

Prue's eyes widened. "Eric. We were," she looked down at the kids, trying to censor herself, "we were going to see him." She gave Jeremy a long look to indicate what she meant. "Please tell me that he's here." And not dead or dying without you and the kids there by his side, she thought.

"He's here." Jeremy said, trying to (quickly) think of how to explain it without making her panic. "He's ok. When he first arrived... he'd just been shot on duty. But the hospitals here are incredible, and they got to him quickly and he's ok. Been miserable without you, but otherwise he's fine."

"Talk about burying the lead," Prue muttered, giving Jeremy a playful shove. Yep, being on an alien planet was secondary to Eric and his health. "Not that I'm not really happy to see you and really wondering why you have a beard, oh, and also, wondering about the whole 'another planet in a different reality' thing... I'd really like to see my husband now." She set a hand on her stomach when she felt the baby protest at her stress and she took a stabilizing breath.

"Yeah, of course... I'll bring you up to speed on our way." He tapped something into his phone quickly. "I took the tram here, but I'm thinking you probably shouldn't be walking even as far as that. So... I'm gonna have Amy come pick us up. Yeah, she and Iris are both here too."

Then, as they talked, a young-looking blue-skinned humanoid alien walked past, about 40-50 feet away from them, pausing to happily yell over to them, "WOOO! Jeremy!!! You rock!!!!" before continuing along his way.

Smirking, Jeremy shook his head. He clearly loved the attention, but knew this wasn't the time to indulge in it. "You guys want something to drink? I'm gonna run back into the Welcome Center and get your phones. Everyone who arrives here gets one."

"Momma, that man's blue!" Eric Jr's said excitedly, pointing.

"...He sure is," Prue murmured, reminding Eric Jr that it was rude to point. Prue brought her attention back to Jeremy. This was a lot of information to take in in such a short amount of time. "...Maybe just some juice boxes?" She asked with a grateful smile. "...And is there somewhere we can sit down?" She didn't want to worry him, but she knew that stress and pregnancy weren't a good combination.

"Sure. Just come with me. You guys can sit in the Welcome Center while we wait for Amy to get here."

He looked at his phone and blinked as an idea hit him.

"...you want me to let Eric know you're here? Or are you looking to surprise him?"

"You'd better let him know that we're here." Ever the attentive mother, Prue made sure her children were situated and weren't likely to trip over themselves before taking hold of their hands and following Jeremy's lead. "Thanks for this, Jeremy. I don't know what I would've done if you weren't here." Actually, she'd probably have a panic attack and go into premature labor, but shh.
