"Yes, I think I'll be comfortable here." Leah reclined on the veranda of her new home in the hills of Hawaii, overlooking the Pacific. It wasn't Oahu, but the island was just over the horizon and anything she needed she could get from there.
It was the perfect spot, and the hybrid remembered it from the days she and Vicky had spent back in 1941 before the Japanese had bombed Pearl Harbor. The mansion had seen better days, which was why she'd gotten it so cheap, but she was confident it could be fixed up without too much trouble.
Of course, it didn't hurt that she'd gotten some of the local handymen under her spell. What good were her gifts if she couldn't use them to her advantage? The place would be sparkling new in no time at all.
Now if she could just convince Vicky and Star to come out to the place for Christmas...
