Who: Piper and Gabriel When: Saturday 23rd of June Where: Gabe's place What: Art stuff, hanging out, maybe smoking.
The music was on but not so loud he couldn't hear the door. Sometimes he needed music to work to. Other times, all he wanted was peace and quiet. It all depended on what he was painting. What was driving him, inspiring him and right now, he had a major Blues vibe going on. Musically speaking particularly. The painting? Well those could be looked at differently each time, depending on the person. For Gabriel though, they were a deep reflection of regret and things gone by. A series of works in ink and watercolour that he was quite proud of, but perhaps a little hesitant about putting out into the public eye.
Gabriel wiped his brow with the back of his arm to stop himself from covering himself in any more paint. He had a few earthy tones up and down his arms, browns and greens. A dab of red on his cheek, and black ink under his nails. He had used them to carve lines in the ink as it was drying, adding something to the painting. A sense of realism.
He took a cigarette out from the pack and lit it, taking in a long drag. Good timing... he was sure he heard the doorbell. He placed the cigarette between his lips and walked downstairs, heading to the front door to answer it. Opening the door, he smirked, plucking the cigarette from his lips as he inhaled. "Hey, come on in" he said, stepping back from the door. "You doin' okay?" he asked.
