Remus and Tonks threw the previously mentioned dinner party tonight! During dinner, the guests were told Remus and Tonks are expecting a second child. Remus let Tonks deliver the news and kept his promise not to light fireworks or anything similarly loud and obnoxious! He did, however, have confetti ready. He promises not much…just a little. He is really happy and determined not to let the fears he had with Teddy haunt him this time around. After dinner, he made sure to try and spend some extra time with his oldest too (if Teddy would have him).

WHAT: Remus brings Teddy home, but he doesn't plan on staying.

It was late by the time Remus and Teddy returned to their cottage. Remus insisted Teddy wash up and head to bed, but he wasn't sure the boy was doing as asked. If Teddy proved anything today, he certainly proved he knew how to get what he wanted. Remus loved Teddy for his devotion, but that didn't mean Remus could stay. He'd let his son visit when it wasn't close to a full moon, but he couldn't stay in the village. He just couldn't.

He also couldn't break that news to his son. He didn't want Teddy running off again, but he didn't know how to stop it either. He couldn't stay. Why couldn't anyone understand that?

He slid into his favorite chair and glanced in the direction of the bedrooms before burying his face in his hands. What the hell was he going to do?

Remus meant it every time he said the village was a tremendous gift. Before landing in town all those months ago, Remus couldn't remember the last time he walked outside without fear of a deep darkness stirring somewhere. When the demons invaded, they clouded those feelings, but he trusted the safety measures they devised to avoid future attacks. Still, the village couldn't take away all Remus' worries and insecurities. Not only did he still suffer full moons, but he lost his boy to the magic. He learned long ago that life is a trade-off. Gain one thing, lose another. Here? He gained those he once thought forever lost to him, but lost others he loved dearly. Most recently? Molly Weasley. His heart went out to the family. It wasn't death, but it certainly felt it when loved ones vanished, didn't it?

He didn't share many of his feelings with Tonks lately. Secrets felt like an old security blanket. He touched on his fears about having a baby, but didn't share all of them. Still, he couldn't avoid talking to his wife forever. Not unless he wanted their marriage to crumble.

When he returned home from teaching at the castle, he set to making one of her favorite dinners. He dimmed the lights and hoped for the best as he set the last plate out. He glanced at his watch. Maybe he should have told her about dinner. What if she was held up? The whole meal would be ruined.

Work Crews: Crew 1 will spend the day constructing the fire pits and kitchen area. Crew 2 will focus on transfiguring tables, chairs and other items need for the dining area.

Crew 2: Tonks, Ginny, Bee, Isabella, Katie, Myrtle, Narcissa, Sally-Ann

Meal Crews (these assignments last through Friday)
Meal leaders will be creating their own menu starting tomorrow.

Lunch: Sally, Katie, Narcissa, Rose, Sally-Ann
Dinner: Molly, Ginny, Andromeda, Isabella, Tonks

Tonks and Rose are given time to discuss their idea of movie night and a break area.
Ginny is given time to discuss her idea of team competitions.
All team members not heading up a meal time or an entertainment section are asked to volunteer to help with either movies, break area, or competitions.
