Who: Everyone
When: Friday, November 24, after lunch
Where: Hogwarts Grounds
Why: There be great winged monsters, m'dears
First Task of the Triwizard Tournament
McGonagall fiddled nervously with her cloak as she walked through the grounds down to the site for the first task. She knew what she was approaching but still the sound of the dragon roars made her nostrils flare.
Setting students up against dragons... really...
All around her students were talking excitedly, milling around as they discussed what the first task would be, until they turned the corner and faced the enclosures.

An eerie silence fell over the crowd at the sight, interspersed with a few screams, then a buzzing sound spread.
McGonagall frowned with annoyance as she passed a number of people discussing the Champions' chances of survival, then she finally made her way up to the part of the stadium which was reserved for the Hogwarts staff and judges. She settled with an annoyed huff right behind Moody who was humming some tune to himself.

Who: Anyone at Hogwarts
When: Breakfast, Nov 21
Where: The Great Hall
Nathair was seated at the breakfast table in the Great Hall when the post owls arrived. As usual he received his copy of the Daily Prophet which he promptly opened. Scanning through it he found little of interest until he happened to look at Skeeter's article.
Reading the re-print from yesterday's Evening Prophet he soon started laughing, broken by a concerned "Awwwwww, poor, ickle Potty."

Who: Fourth years, Snape, and I think we'll say sixth years are getting out, just to increase the number of pups in play
Where: Outside the Potions classroom
When: Monday morning, 11/13
Notes: Go wild, guys! :D
The badges were perfect. Between Beau and Millicent's help, they were even better than Draco had expected. He had brought up a full box this morning when he came to breakfast, and had made sure everyone who wanted one had one. Only a few remained, but he had a perfect idea what to do with them. Especially with Potions being next period. And what better time to try them out than now?
Now he stood near Blaise, Crabbe, and Goyle outside the Potions classroom, waiting for the Gryffindors to appear. He couldn't wait to see Potter's face when he read the true message of the badges. This was going to be perfect.

Dragons
Who: Charlie, Fred, George
When: Nov 8th, dusk
Where: Edge of the Forbidden Forest
Rating: TBD
Charlie waited nervously. He paced back in forth. He had gotten the visit cleared with is boss, he was just told to keep the boys in a five foot radius of the dragons. Kale was still acting up and Charlie didn't want Fred or George to go home with a dint in their arm to.
The night was turning cold, he could see his breath coming out of his mouth, but as soon as they got to the dragons it would be warmer, he just hoped they had got Kale sedated or it might just get a little warmer.

Who: Anyone who would be at Hogwarts for Halloween
Where: the Hogwarts Great Hall
When: 1994, Halloween, suppertime
Mod note: Opening thread! Use it as you see fit. The more the merrier! (sorry to those who have adult pups--yours probably wouldn't be here. Feel free to post your own. At the Broomsticks, maybe?) Portions of this entry have been quoted verbatum from the original text
The Hall was eerily quiet. Certainly, no one had expected the Goblet to flare a fourth time. They also hadn't expected Dumbledore to actually pay attention to the fourth strip of paper that had floated down to him from it. Still, perhaps it should have been a surprise to no one the name that was called.
"Harry Potter."
All eyes turned to the pale, dark-haired boy who sat, frozen in place at the attention, and a flurry of whispers filled the room.
"Harry Potter!" Dumbledore called again. "Harry! Up here, if you please!"
