Blaise hadn't wanted to be caught in the middle of Draco's doings.  They might be best friends, but that didn't mean he agreed with making badges that mocked Potter.  Worse, he knew Fred and Pansy were up to something.  Likely something that would turn the tide against Draco in his little plot. 

He was hoping that being here in the library, where Pince would kick out anyone who raised their voices, would keep him safe from whatever impending doom his housemates had planned.

At the moment, he was working on a paper for Potions, looking up all the properties of asphodel and its uses in potions.  At least it was a well-known ingredient.  And therefore a rather easy assignment.

Who: Anyone who would be at Hogwarts for Halloween
Where: the Hogwarts Great Hall
When: 1994, Halloween, suppertime

The Hall was eerily quiet. Certainly, no one had expected the Goblet to flare a fourth time. They also hadn't expected Dumbledore to actually pay attention to the fourth strip of paper that had floated down to him from it. Still, perhaps it should have been a surprise to no one the name that was called.

"Harry Potter."

All eyes turned to the pale, dark-haired boy who sat, frozen in place at the attention, and a flurry of whispers filled the room.

"Harry Potter!" Dumbledore called again. "Harry! Up here, if you please!"
