Backdated to a date before the Second Tri-wizard Task
Who: Kingsley Shacklebolt, Sirius Black, Fudge, Scrimgeour and other unnamed members of the Wizengamot
When: Mid-february 1995, morning.
Where: The Ministry, courtroom 10
Rating/warnings: TBD - very likely at least PG-13

Kingsley was certain they had gathered enough evidence in the form of Veritaserum interviews, different memories stored securely in a portable pensieve, direct evidence and circumstantial evidence in order to move to the final blow; Sirius' interview. The risk was high for the man, allowing himself to be taken into custody for this... risking being sent back to Azkaban if all failed and nobody cared Black was innocent, only caring about their reputation and the strong public belief Black was guilty.

He was uncommonly nervous, feeling he was in a way standing at a crossroad. If he failed at this, it would certainly influence his future in the Ministry. Everybody would see him as the Auror who was fooled to believe Black was innocent and even had been stupid enough to bring it all the way to the highest level. He'd never become anything other than an Auror, which really was fine with him, but he'd also never again be seen as the sharply intelligent and extremely efficient and skillful Auror he'd been viewed as until now, and worked hard to be viewed as.

Should he however succeed... Kingsley looked to Sirius, giving him a small reassuring smile. He had to succeed.
