Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:regulus black, rodolphus lestrange

Who: Regulus (yes again) and Rodolphus
When: March 12, 1995, evening
Where: Ro's place
Rating: TBD

Avoiding Bellatrix was starting to become a chore. Sirius didn't want Regulus to sleep with her and Regulus was going to respect his brother's wishes. But, he was also going to need to respect Ro's wishes, especially if he was able to get back on the man's good side (if one could call it that).

The young owl on his shoulder wasn't so much a peace offering as it was something Regulus suspected Ro might need. The owl was alert, for now, just a brown specimen, but an excellent flyer and wonderful company. Regulus was almost said to have to part ways with the animal, but he'd gotten him for Rodolphus and to Rodolphus he would go. Regulus was in his best robes today, right down to the patent leather gloves and shoes he wore.

He rang the doorbell and waited.

Rodolphus was in the library looking for a specific book on glamours when he heard the bell. After a seconds hesitation he went to the door leading into the entrance hall and watched the elderly houseelf opening the door.

He leaned against the door frame and let his eyes glide over the younger man's face and body. Regulus had certainly grown since they had last met. The boy lingering in his memory had become a man.

"Hello Regulus," his voice was soft in greeting, "Come join me in the library." Then he turned and headed back to the shelf he had been searching, confident that Reg would obey.

Follow, Regulus did. Who was he not to? Rodolphus looked very different, but not just because of how his features had worn. Regulus knew it was Azkaban that had done this to him, that had done this to all of them. But, it seemed to have hit the Lestrange brothers the hardest. Regulus felt no pity for any of them, but he did feel the slightest bit of guilt.

He followed Rodolphus to the library. It felt eerie, that, following behind a man who certainly was not his friend and listening to their footsteps move until they reached the library. Darlingly, Regulus slid in behind where Rodolphus was inspecting the spines of books.

"Shall I make small talk and ask if something's caught your fancy?" he asked, something he would have never dared in his younger days.

Rodolphus raised a brow at Reg but didn't answer. Instead he focused on the owl on his shoulder.

"Did you feel the need to owl someone? Afraid I'd try to keep you here?" there was a hint of a smirk curling his lips and something sinister flashed briefly in his eyes before disappearing again.

"Ho ho ho. I'm pissing myself you're so funny over here," Regulus dared, because it was almost required. The owl ruffled his feathers, but in a more bored sort of way. That flash behind Ro's eyes was absolutely glorious.

"He followed me, you see, and I've already got a little bastard owl who bothers me. I couldn't very well leave this one, though. He needs a home. I thought perhaps you...could accomodate."

"Hmm.." smirking at Reg's behaviour, Ro slowly reached out a hand to the owl, then gently stroked its feathers as it didn't seem scared of him.

Then his gaze returned to Reg. His voice was low and quiet as he looked directly into the younger Black's eyes, "I thank you for thinking of me. I could certainly accommodate an owl, this house is big enough for..." his smirk widened and there was a telling glint in his dark eyes, "..a lot of things."

Having anyone look you in the eye that way was disarming, but to have Ro doing it made it even more so. The owl cooed at the touch and nipped affectionately at the backs of Ro's knuckles.

"Oh?" Regulus raised an inquisitive brow. "Care to elaborate, darling?" Of course, he didn't need for him to, but he enjoyed a bit of a game.

As his hand moved away from the owl he stroked his fingertips along Reg's jaw in a gentle caress, his eyes glinting, "Mhmm, I'm sure you'd enjoy a tour of.. say... the north tower. The view of the moors is quite fascinating."

Teasingly, his focus returned to the bird, "As for you, there's an owlery at the top of the west tower. It's yours if you want it. I'll have an elf bring you fresh food and water."

The owl clicked his beak in understanding, but did complain about having to fly when he didn't want to. He did anyway. Peculiar creatures, owls.

That left Regulus able to bring his hand up to touch his fingers to the back of Ro's wrist. He refused to shut his eyes at a touch just yet. "If you pitch me off the roof," he warned coolly. "I'll just come back and haunt you, you realize." After all, he was acutely aware of just who was standing in front of him.

Ro grinned at the owl, then gazed at Regulus, an unreadable expression in his eyes, "Why would I pitch you off the roof," he said softly, "When I'd much rather make you scream out your orgasm over the moor..."

At that he smirked and his eyes glowed dark, not giving away whether that indeed was his true intention, then he stepped back and headed for the door.

"Coming or going, little Black?"

God dammit.

Regulus would have liked to have been warned if Ro was going to AK him on the roof or not as he had things to do tomorrow. He didn't want to follow; not because he was afraid, but because he wanted to disobedient, but he found himself following anyway, feeling very much like a mongrel.

Though he felt that way, he didn't walk that way as it simply wasn't becoming of Regulus Black.

Ro chuckled inwardly as he heard Regulus following him. He slowed down to allow him to catch up, then walked calmly next to him, looking him over.

"What's it like being a fisherman?" he asked conversationally, taking Regulus up a flight of stairs, then down a long corridor, strolling along like a tour guide.

Somehow, Regulus didn't think Ro was actually interested in what it was like to be a fisherman. Regulus dared to touch his hand to the small of the man's back as they walked, applying just the slightest bit of pressure with his palm.

"A bit like being free," he answered, chuckling just softly, if nor warmly. "You ought to let me take you on a trip some time, love."

A smile warmed his features at the touch, but he didn't look at Regulus, his eyes focusing on the door leading to the tower.

"I might take you up on that offer one day. For me... the view from up here is the essence of being free." He opened the door, then stepped aside, indicating to Reg to walk up the narrow stairs first.

Trusting Rodolphus didn't come easily, but Regulus was smart enough to still know who this was and this was no coward. If Rodolphus was going to do anything to him, it would certainly be face to face, so turning his back on the man was done without hesitation.

He walked ahead of him, up the narrow steps, just as indicated. "Do I get the honour of opening the door as well?" he asked, teasingly.

Ro enjoyed the sight as Reg climbed the steps and he had to use quite the willpower to avoid stroking the tempting arse right in front of him.

Then he tore his eyes away and looked ahead of Reg to the door leading out to the top of the tower.

"Sure, go ahead. Just be careful with the battlements to the left. They're a bit unstable."

(ooc: The tower is kind of like the Astronomy tower, just smaller. It's roughly 12 feet in diameter between the battlements, all of it made of stone. To the right you can see the moors, to the left there's a small village in the distance)

With permission granted, Regulus turned the doorknob, closing his eyes briefly at the wind that always blew in high top places such as this. He took the last step up on to the cold stone (he knew it was cold, even with his boots on).

As the wind whipped his hair in all directions, he easily tucked it behind his ears and glanced around, taking in the view of the sleepy little village. The houses reminded Regulus of a Muggle game that he and the other fishermen played called Monopoly.

He turned to look over his shoulder at Rodolphus. "I see why you like this spot so much," he remarked.

[ooc: Thankee.]
