Who: Cassandra (thehorseisalie), Apollo (apollimi)
What: Eternal waking
When: A few years before the Trojan War
Where: Troy
Notes: Part 1/3 of in-flight writing. Monologue strangeness. Drabble. Hi Tania, I'm stealing your character once again.
Lovely daughter of Priam. You are an intelligent child on the cusp of womanhood. Your city blooms with life, your family swells with each passing year. Daughter of kings: you have almost everything. Almost. Don't you wish for more?
You can reach for the sky. You can reach for the sun, touch it in ways Icarus never could. He dared to dream, but his dream was frail and flawed, a mockery of a true form. Icarus fell.
Sweet child--you need never fall. Your dream is handed to you on the palm of a golden hand. Will you accept it?
