Need a friend for your favourite muse? Got a brother that needs to be in play? Have a plot which hangs on one character who is not in game?

Welcome to FIND_PLAYERS, an advertising community for those of you whose needs have just not been fulfilled!

It's a community where you advertise wanted characters for games either personal to you or essential to plottage. If you have requested a character in a roleplaying game but no-one has yet taken him/her on, write up an ad and post it here for (hopefully) hundreds of players to see, and you might soon get the character filled!

It works the other way too - if you're tired of trawling through endless games to see if a character catches your eye, instead you can look here to see if anything strikes you. Plus you'll be helping someone out ^_^

rules

1. This community is strictly for ORIGINAL/FICTIONAL RPG and dedicated writers. Absolutely NO celebrity games.
2. No game ads; There are plenty of communities for that, this is specifically for requesting characters people want to see filled in-game. Feel free to describe the theme and tone of the game, by all means, but the character MUST be the main subject of the post.
3. Please keep fandom requests to a minimum, especially Harry Potter. There is FIND_A_PLAYER for that, and it is an excellent resource.
4. Please don't try and incorporate plugging the game in the requests - the mods will see and you will be deleted! A good example of what to write is here;
"Hi, I'm Anna, I play *character* at *game name*, I'm looking for *wanted character*, he is...." (follow on to describe the character and context you want them in - for example, if they're family members, their temperament, their relationship with your character and even what PB you'd prefer.)
5. Only post once a week! If you post every day you'll only be spamming the community. This is for a wide variety of games and characters, not just yours.
6. If you have multiple characters you want to advertise for please put them ALL in ONE post - don't spread out the requests!! You can link to other journals in that one post.
7. We'd appreciate it if you pimped out this community to other people who might be in need and to spread the word, but we ask you to refrain from getting a whole game to join - tell them to join only if they need/want to!
8. If we get a lot of characters being advertised from one game we'll most likely begin tagging the posts with the name of the RPG. If you like the sound of one game but haven't found a character you're looking for, it'll be easier to browse the wanted characters.
9. Please let us know if your character request has been fulfilled! That way you'll avoid getting repeat questions and answers once you've secured someone to play them.
