This is me working on my term paper at 10:30 the night before it's due. Thankfully I'm 60% finished with it, but this is going to be the part where I have to pull in extra sources and make this whole thing come together. This is awesome. Not.

I did not talk to behindtonsils, pronto, or chthonian today at work. My whole life feels slightly off kilter. :[ ...On the other hand, I listened to people behind me at IHOP discuss using shoelaces to hang yourself in jail (??) and someone's arm exploding in graphic detail. That might also have something to do with it.

However! I'm jumping on the "Give me your address and I will send you a Christmas card" train, except there is more to it. This year I'm doing handmade holiday cards (mostly because I hate store-bought, and the nice ones are always fucking expensive), and I also want to put drabbles inside. So you will get a card and a holiday drabble! Which I will actually finish by Christmas. No, seriously. I'm limiting it to the list everyone's been posting around for drabbles (though two people can tag each, if you REALLY REALLY want the same prompt!), but I will send a card to whoever wants one. No guarantees they won't actually fall prey to my lack of any artistry skills and turn out to be shit, but whatever. Comments are screened, but I will mark the post up as requests come in so you guys know what is available. :]]]

Going to bed early on meme night again. Oops. Will catch up on things tomorrow. Got off-kilter tonight when after we got home from the kidlet's school concert, our ( cut for oogie animal injury description )

I'm glad I took him over, and glad we can get him towards feeling better soonest. But ohhh I am so tired now because I spent the day running all over the place at work, and then Chick's concert and then the er vet (who is a bit of a drive away) and my eyes are just closing. *yawns* Bed now for Deb. Yes, yes, very much so.

Things learned:
1. One edit is never enough.
2. Reading things aloud really does catch errors, even if it takes a half hour to read one 3,000 word chapter (that's 100 words a minute).

But, it's done. I finished my first multichapter fanfic in years -- I have a few, but the closest to done any of them are is 'rough draft'. Yes, I take this as Serious Writing, for all that it's fun stuff on the Internets.

Anyway, I present a Fullmetal Alchemist Space Opera AU focusing on Winry and Sheska. Because clearly I don't care if anyone actually reads stuff I poured blood, sweat and tears into.

UGH why can't i write EPIC SHIT tonight. No like really epic shit. I need to write a fucking epic pre-battle speech.

kikithepirate, wentsch, flyspeck, ty guys so so much for trying to help me today at work. none of your advice helped, lol, but that's because mike discovered that what i was trying to do wouldn't work because of the program that created the videos. but i really appreciated you guys stopping what you were doing to try and help me out.

today, as a work day, sort of sucked. i found out that my internship wont be extended, though my supervisor seems kind of upset about it. then today was another wikitrial, and my post got deleted again. then was the mishap with the videos, so i spent all day working, yet produced nothing. w/e w/e. but yes, so all the help you guys gave me was the highlight of my day. ty.

I am extraing next week on OTH, the scene is an 80s party. I'm getting together wardrobe options right now, I have to bring 3 options by the studio on Friday morning for them to look over. I feel like I'm channeling my inner Claudia and Stacey by putting these together. The best outfit I have totally sounds like a Stacey outfit from the books. I will take a picture once I know what outfit I'm wearing.
