Find a Game is the sister community to Find a Player, wherein mods can advertise their games rather than the games coming to the players. You can post a general game ad -- though don't be too obsessive or obnoxious about it.

For example...

BAD: my_game my_game my_game!!!

ALSO BAD: "LOOK we're advertising again even though we're already on the front page three times!"

GOOD: Here is a nice image. This is the premise of our game. These are the 5 characters we're most looking for.

001. As stated above, this game is JUST for general game ads. If you are an individual looking for SPECIFIC CHARACTER, go to find_a_player. We'll just reject your post from the queue the first offense, but don't try it again.

002. POSTING LIMIT. If you are on the front page, you have to wait until your post has been moved off the front page to submit your post again. There are only 20 entries on the front page, so this shouldn't be too horrible. It's obnoxious when games are on the front page of a community four times.

003. FANDOM ONLY -- NO CELEB/PB RPGS. Sorry, but those games generally have an infinite amount of characters available and no concrete premise. That's not quite what we want here.

004. TAG YOUR POSTS. We'll have tags available for each genre (HP, XMEN, FANTASY), and we'll have sub-genres too (MARAUDER, POSTWARTS, ETC).

005. PLAY NICE. I don't care if you think such-and-such a game or player sucks. Keep it to yourself, and don't pick fights. If you cause wank, you'll be given two warnings before you're banned.

006. This isn't a rule so much as a suggestion, but if you're pimping to a players who are looking for a game to play in, make some effort to sell your game rather than just link to it. It's frustrating for the game-seekers to only have one-word responses.

007. Lastly, have fun! As long as you use basic courtesy and respect the purpose of this community, it should be a great resource for players and potential players alike.
