Luna and Theo
Who: Luna and Theo
What: Scrabble, talking
When: Sunday evening
Where: Theo's Flat
Rating: Low. Probably.
Status: on-going
Theo's head was sort of a mess by the time Luna arrived on Sunday.
After Terence had left on Friday morning, he'd gone to work. Tried to act as normal as possible, but had just kept smiling until one of his co-workers dared to ask who the lucky lady was. He'd forced himself to go back to his usual, bland expression and had been left alone. His head had been a mess of thoughts about Terence, and what he wanted and didn't want, and the only conclusion he'd come to was that he didn't have any bloody idea what he wanted, except he wanted to have sex again and he didn't want to lose Terence's friendship. He could have both, but only if he committed to a relationship, and while part of him thought if he could make it work with anyone it would be Terence another part of him didn't know if he was ready. If he'd ever be ready, or at least not soon enough that he'd lose Terence to someone else. He'd almost messaged Blaise that night, but crossed it out and messaged Luna instead. He was going to have to deal with Blaise at some point, but not yet.
By Saturday he'd determined not to think about it for the entire day. He'd had to concentrate on Parvati, and whatever game she thought she was playing, and that hadn't leave room for Terence. Not much room. And he knew Terence would be busy with Quidditch, and then two of his friends had been hurt and he knew Terence well enough to know he'd be at the hospital. With Her. Angelina. One of the many possibilities Terence had if Theo didn't want him. He tried not to think about that either, because he didn't want to be the child Terence had accused him of being, not after their night together. He could have Terence if he wanted, but it wasn't a competition. So he'd resisted the urge to owl Terence, ask him to come over, not only because he'd been Parvati but because he wanted to prove, at least to himself, that he had some maturity in this situation. It had been hard, but there had been Parvati to distract him. He still wasn't sure what he was going to do there, either.
So it had been three days, and he still wasn't any closer to figuring out what he wanted with Terence than he had been before they'd had sex. Now, he had the memories of how it felt to be held by Terence, to know how it felt to have sex with someone who genuinely cared about him, and whom he trusted more than anyone else. It was...a heady experience, and he knew he wanted that again. He just wasn't sure if he could handle everything else that came with it. Monogamy and dates and frequent talks about feelings. It terrified him, and then he added in the current complication that was Parvati, and he'd almost messaged Luna and canceled their...whatever this was.
In the end though, he hadn't. Luna was good company, easy to talk to, and surprisingly insightful. Maybe he could talk to her. So, he'd had the House Elves prepare a simple dinner, dressed in casual robes, and answered the door with a smile. "Luna. You look lovely. Come in."
