Summary: Omi's got a surprise for Lukas.

"Kid, what're you doing?" came the sleep-rough voice, the redhead peering blearily out of where he lay in bed. The covers bunched around him, low enough to reveal a bare chest still marked with faint evidences of the passion of the night before. It was too early. Way too early for his little lover to be standing on a ladder, carefully setting up a line of curtains over the windows in the north wall. One thing that Lukas had never really gotten used to was Omi being such a morning person.

"Hanging curtains," Omi murmured, his tongue sticking out of the side of his mouth as he eased the pole into place before attaching it with a screwdriver snagged from the workman's belt around his hips. "What's it look like?" The impudent words were accompanied by a grin when Omi turned to peer at him. "What do you think?"

Pinned down by the question, Lukas forced his eyes to focus enough to really look at the curtains Omi was so happily hanging in their bedroom. When he realized what the pattern and color reminded him of, he fell back onto the bed with a groan. "Whoever the fuck sold you those curtains is on the wrong side of sane," he informed Omi, and the grumbling words were greeted with with a peal of laughter as Omi climbed down the ladder to spread the curtains out.

"I like them," he decided, running one hand through his blond hair and smiling. "Besides, they go perfectly with the rest of the room."

Lukas eyed the honeycomb curtains, then peered around the bee-decorated room for a long minute before rolling to flop on his stomach. "Wrong side of sane," he informed Omi again. But when Omi got back into bed with him, workman's belt shed somewhere along with his pants, leaving him to press up against Lukas with bare skin, Lukas sighed and laughed. "Maybe I am, too," he decided, leaning in for a kiss.
