His Now / Caretakers

Title: His Now
Characters: Edea, Squall (both young and old), Ultimecia
Team: Balamb G
Rating: PG
Word Count: 100
Author's Notes: no real notes here. I obviously took some liberties in where the young Squall was when Edea gained powers.

Squall stood, bottom lip that quivering. The dying sorceress crawled towards he and Matron, her powers searching a new host, a new vassal.

Edea stepped forward to take the powers, as she had repeatedly before. The SeeD, the commander, watched the events unfold yet again. He almost opened his mouth to speak when the younger him jumped in the way.

At once, magic ran through the small frame and gained a cry from Squall. Ultimecia screamed, enraged as she died. The commander doubled over in pain as his body and mind made way for the Sorceress's powers.

His powers now.

Title: Inheritors
Characters/Pairings: Hyne
Team: Balamb G
Rating: PG
Word Count: 100
Author's Notes: Hyne was pissy and refused to help write the idea he stuck in my head.

A time will come when all wrought by your hand, comes undone. Powers will be stripped and you will be no more.

Your fall from grace will be pitied by even Galbadia's lowest whore.

My powers - a gift, now divided and passed among the masses like common trinkets for spoiled, snot-faced children.

I was once great, powerful and feared. You let me fade into nothing but a myth. weakened, forgotten - save for insignificant empty morals.

My power grows day by day and your days are numbered. It is time for my awakening.

Inheritors of this Earth, you overestimated your worth.

Prompt #93

Balamb G came in with 50 points and Galbadia came in with 10. Me thinks that Galbadia might have been busy kissing instead of ...not kissing? I'm not sure who really won then! The other teams probably got scared away by "kissing cooties" or something silly of the sort. >.>

This week's word prompt: #93 - Fighting fate

Fate. It's something that apparently we can't control. It can bind us tight and keep us on a path that might not let us stray or only give a little sway. Or perhaps there is a way to change one's stars as it were, to fight fate and come up with something new for one's own life.

I leave this to you and to write it out in 100 words.
