"Yeah." Talking hurt even more than breathing. "He got here first."

"And Avalanche?"

"Inside." Tseng felt his eyes sliding closed again. He bit his own tongue to keep himself conscious. "The Ancient's with them."

Rufus straightened. "We'll let her do her job, then," he declared. "Get him on the helicopter."

"Well done," his god whispered, and opened his arms, let him slip into the Lifestream. Cloud surrendered easily, his heart at peace. It wasn't how he'd pictured it, but he knew now that he'd fulfilled his destiny.

Usually it's better not to pay attention to them. Tifa knows how false hope can poison you.

"My name's Tifa Lockhart. I want to join Avalanche."

But sometimes you chase a story and you find real hope shining in your hands.

With Tseng's hand light on her arm, Aeris could almost believe she was being escorted through the Shinra building - a guest rather than a prisoner. Then the executive wing abruptly gave way to the science wing, and the illusion shattered. She was back in the labs she'd spent over half her life avoiding, and the man who'd killed her mother had her in his power.

"Ah, you brought her!" Aeris froze as Professor Hojo looked up from his clipboard with a twisted smile, barely acknowledging Tseng with a glance. Only Tseng's hand on her arm kept Aeris from bolting.

Last week, some characters were hated more than others. Most experienced the loathing of fangirls and bois for SOLDIERs benefit, winning them a cool 100 points!  Avalanche laid some pipe bombs for the people they just can't stand for 30 points.  The Turks pulled in some overtime for ShinRa which kept them nicely out of the firing lines.

This week's prompt is #38 - Missing Scenes

In every book, movie, or game there is always a scene or two that we wish the authors/creators would have included. Sometimes this scene is cut for length or for story cohesion.  Many times it was never there to begin with, but our imaginations want it otherwise and that can lead to some great fanfiction.

Your task this week is to find those missing scenes gathering dust in those dark vaults and drag them into the light.for all to see.

Reno and Rude weren't always partners in crime for ShinRa - how did they get paired together?  What was Sephiroth's first training session like?  Was there a memorial held for the elder ShinRa? Show us some scenes from those few years that Zack was on the run with a half-comatose Cloud.  Does anyone indulge in a hobby - does General Sephiroth play with crayons? Show us the scientists having lunch in the local cafeteria.  How about the boozing between friends at the Seventh Heaven? What do the Triplets do when they aren't searching for Mother? Give us some buddy time, some haircut scenes, some mundane grocery shopping!

Whatever tickles your imagination for those missing scenes, just make sure they are written in just 100 words.
