Prompt #138

We're back! Sorry about the delay. Our weekly schedule of Monday prompts will now resume. Thank you all for being so patient.

Picking up where we left off with Heavenly Virtues, this week's prompt is #138 - Kindness

Aristotle defined kindness as “helpfulness towards someone in need, not in return for anything, nor for the advantage of the helper himself, but for that of the person helped.” Kindness is charitable and mild, pleasant and tender, and concerned for others. It is the virtue opposed to the deadly sin of wrath, and so it embodies patience, compassion and peace. It is also considered to be one of the Knightly Virtues.

Is Aerith the embodiment of kindness? How might kindness manifest as a knightly virtue among SOLDIERs? In some twisted way, might Hojo believe that he has always treated his subjects with kindness – or might he fire an assistant who was too kind-hearted? Does Reeve believe in “kill them with kindness” or does he leave that to the Turks?

Whether you look for kindness or search for its shadow, tell us about it in 100 words.
