The bar was closed for the night but he sat for a few more mintues. So badly he wanted to pull the brunette close and kiss her; it wasn't the most romantic settings, but it was familiar to them both.

Of course pulling a move so brazen would more than likely result in him getting a couple swift punches to the head and because it was Tifa, he wouldn't strike back.

The want and desire was there, he wasn't going to deny. But getting to that point was going to be something else entirely.

With a sigh, he said goodnight.

She kept looking at him, he could feel it. It was going to make him worrisome and he couldn't have that. He was Rude, the Turk with the emotionless exterior, next to Tseng.

Again, he caught her eyes on him and he could feel the burn of a blush creep on his cheeks. Finally when he couldn't take it anymore, he asked, "Is there something on my face?"

It was more polite than just asking why she was staring. It was her turn to blush.

"I'm sorry." Tifa said quickly, leaving out the part about kissing his full looking lips.

The big Turk really needed to stop staring at his field supervisor's mouth; he wondered what it would look like if it wasn't constantly pulled into a tight line of worry or disappointment.

Would it be bow shaped or full and utterly kissable. What would he taste like? Some candy that he pops into his mouth discreetly, or like the god aweful coffee that's from the cafeteria? Rude was sure he didn't smoke, so it wouldn't be like kissing Reno.

He wanted badly to know and the urge to just stand and kiss him was growing with every passing moment.

When Tseng asked him to stay after the meeting, it filled Rude with mixed feelings; happy, hopeful and nervousness. Had Tseng noticed his lack of attention in the meetings, or perhaps it was how the bigger man never turned his attention from him.

"Rude..." Words were cut off as the larger man leaned in and did what he had been fantasizing about for months. Tseng's fingers gripped at Rude's jacket as he made a surprised noise. It was a couple more seconds before the smaller man actually relaxed and kissed back.

Tseng tasted like something exotic and it was addicting.

Tifa couldn't believe what she'd just heard.

"You've never been kissed?" The words didn't sound real.

For once quiet, Yuffie shook her head and chewed her lip in embarrassment. She hadn't meant to say anything, but Tifa had asked and she couldn't find the words to lie - for once. Awkward silence, then Yuffie hesitantly grabbed the other woman's shoulders.

"Could I...? Just to... Practice?" The look in her eyes was child-like.

Surprised, Tifa nodded dumbly, unaware of doing so. Leaning over, Yuffie closed her eyes and promptly banged her forehead into Tifa's nose.

"Eh, you missed."

Yuffie only laughed.

Author's Note: Yes, this is my FFVII original character who later winds up working as Sephiroth's secretary/office manager/paperwork dragon.

I think I knew which way I went, preference-wise, long before I reached puberty. There's something about raising five younger brothers which really removes any romantic notions about boys. They're noisy, annoying, and they smell bad.

Girls are much nicer. They smell better, they don't talk nonsense, and they look prettier too. Everything's neat and tucked away, not hanging out in the open. Besides, I'm a girl myself, so it's a lot easier to figure out what's going to work. I can start by trying the things I like.

Kissing tastes good. Both top and bottom, kisses taste good.

Zack was still.

So still and silent, Zack shouldn’t be so quiet or so still, because he was Zack, and he was always moving and noisy and dragging him along even when he said that he didn’t want to do whatever it was.

(But really he didn’t mind, because he loved Zack and he loved being with him, even if he doubted his friend loved him that way.)

He leaned down and pressed their lips together, like a fairytale. Only love’s first kiss didn’t wake him, so maybe he wasn’t true love after all.

Author's Notes: This is exactly how I'd imagine the first kiss to go.

Pizza and beer, not a very romantic combination but then as far as these things were concerned, Zack wasn't very romantic at all. But as for first kisses.. this was utterly perfect. Pepperoni laced with cheese, the hint of ferment on breath and maybe a smidgen of garlic that clung to the underside of tongue. The romance of moonlight was easily replaced by the background hum of a halo movie playing outside the realm of the kiss.

Angeal's subtle surprise had been replaced by welcome and highlighted by Zack's undeniable enthusiasm.. as it was meant to be.

Both SOLDIER and Avalanche have dealt with their share of worst case scenarios and this week was no exception.  They have to share the trophy this week with 30 points each. The Turks don't do worst case scenarios, they are one.

The economic downturn is hitting my family a bit hard right now, and you know what that means?  It means I want to see some kissing, dammit!

Nothing is sweeter, hotter, more daring, breathless or more clumsy and awkward than a first kiss. So, this week, give the characters their first kiss!

Is Vincent musing about his first kiss as a child?  Is Rufus plotting out how to get his first kiss out of the Tseng?  Is Yuffie wondering what a first kiss would be like? Has Cloud just received a drunken kiss from Reno? Did Angeal and Genesis kiss under an apple tree? Is Sephiroth still waiting for his first kiss? Is Rude fantasizing about his first kiss from Tifa?
