Her dreams were filled with images of him beaten and bloody; it was something she wouldn't be able to shake for a while. She still didn't know why he called her instead of one of the other Turks for retrieval?

Tifa wasn't going to turn away from the call for help. She went and got him; brought him to the bar and into her home. She bandaged and used Cure spells on him until she could do no more and passed out beside him on the bed.

Next morning, he thanked her but neither spoke of the previous night's events.

A/N: Putting another storyline in perspective.




Sometimes, when he thinks he’s awake, Cloud tries to make sense of a world seen from the wrong side of a fishbowl.

He listens to a dark-haired SOLDIER who tells him to hang on, to be strong, that help is coming.

Other times…

He feels the ground beneath his booted feet, the swathed sword a familiar weight in his right hand even as the newly-recognized weight of his wing drags at his left shoulder. He tugs the edge of his red cloak up over his mouth and nose and walks on, in search of the one who is his darkness.

She had been dreaming of him again.

Physically—and mentally—tired, Aerith wearily leaned back from the garden, soil-covered hands lightly folding in the material of her pink dress.

Sometimes it was hard to keep up the front that everything was okay.

I should know, she thought bitterly. I’ve been doing it for four years .

Sighing, Aerith slowly cleared her mind and finally let herself think objectively. If he really was gone, then why hadn’t his spirit come back to see her before its rejoining with the Lifestream?

Because, something within her said, he’s not really gone.

Yesterday, I procrastinated a little and failed to post the new prompt! 

Last week, SOLDIER and Avalanche tied for the trophy at 10 points each. Which, I suppose,  makes the real winners of the procrastination prompt the Turks. ;)

This week's prompt is #96 - Dreams

This prompt is a very subjective one.  You can use it as a noun such as a wish or a goal. or if you'd rather, use it as a verb as in something that entertains the characters while they sleep.
