Sephiroth, Genesis, Angeal. Three names every SOLDIER knew. More than a few worshiped them with every bit of their soul.

Genesis used that to his advantage when he deserted.

The original idea was to go alone. Then he decided that having a few people along would be useful.

Then he discovered the way to make clones of himself.

After that, he waited, luring more and more to his side. The clones did not live long, and the more bodies, the better.

He left the SOLDIER program gutted. Not that he cared.

Taking what he needed and then some, Genesis left.

For so long has he waited to be called, to fulfill the task set before him by the Goddess herself at the moment of his birth.

Within his fleshly prison of thirty years he has endured a silence that has been profound but not complete: though limited slightly by human senses, he could still hear.

And now his brother calls. Omega rises, and Chaos breaks free of his bonds to serve him.

To save the planet, he must destroy it, devour it, consume every living thing and return it to the Lifestream.

"That's, like, your third dessert!" Reno said, staring at Rude with his jaw hanging open.

"It's good dessert here," Rude said, ignoring Reno and concentrating on the cherry pie. It had been a while since he'd had good pie.

"Keep it up, you're gonna be as huge as the pres," Reno said shaking his head.

"I'm sure you'll think of some way for me to work it off," Rude said absently, and took another bite. He licked some pie filling at the corner of his mouth, and Reno swallowed, then grinned.

"...yeah, uh...so...want some more pie?"

It seems that the most lustful people on Gaia come from the ranks of SOLDIER. Their lust grabbed them a full 100 points and the trophy for the round. Avalanche and the Turks took 10 points a piece - we think they were lusting after each other.

This week's prompt is #127 - Gluttony

Ah, gluttony: the over-indulgence and over-consumption that may lead to outright wastefulness.

Is Reno gulping down alcohol as if he were a fish? Is Yuffie using materia as if it is going out of style? Is Heidegger scarfing down all the donuts that he can find? Can Cid ever get enough tea? Is it true that Shinra has stockpiled all the energy at the expense of the planet?
