Her mother would not allow her to learn to use a weapon when she was a child. “You are a Lockhart! You are above such things!” she would proclaim. Tifa went along with it until the day after Cloud left, chasing his dreams. Almost all the boys were gone; she had no protection but what she could do for herself. So she walked up to the teacher’s house, knocked, and, clenching fists that she just knew would be feared someday, got ready to face the man who would eventually show her that the best weapon of all was her heart.
