I gave you immortality. Not only will you exist here forever, but you will remain in the hearts of your comrades until their last breath. Tragedy will always outlive triumph. And what of the end? The grief of knowing that you will not be around for the next great crisis?
As I see it, cutting you down was an act of mercy."
