Cid's leather gloves are worker's gloves: thick, ugly, and permanently scuffed. They've saved Cid's hands from cuts and burns more times than he can count, but they'll never win any points for style. Vincent's black leather pants are quite the opposite: pristine,. skin-tight and shining, clearly made to reveal rather than to protect. It's hard to fathom that both are made from the same material.
