The Threat of Silver
Title: The Threat of Silver
Challenge: First Lines
Characters: Vincent, the SHM
Team: SOLDIER
Word count: 100
A/N: The book is Stephen King’s “The Gunslinger.” I changed “man” to “men” for the drabble.
The men in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed. He did not yet know what they were, or what they wanted, but he did know three things: they were not human; they had two captives; and once they had discovered whatever secret those captives were hiding, they would not hesitate to kill.
Vincent studied them as they traveled. Their appearance had taken him aback: each one looked like a younger version of Sephiroth, with the smallest having the seeming of a petulant fourteen-year-old.
There are few things more unpredictable or vicious than an angry child. For the sake of the wounded Turks, Vincent would have to be very careful.
