Final Fantasy VII 100 Word Challenge

No winners last week.

This week's prompt is #30 - Weird Days at the Workplace

Have you ever had one of those days at work?  You know, the kind that if you told someone about it they wouldn't believe you?  Or maybe you have had just a touch too much surreal?

Give the characetrs one of those weird days at work.

Does Tseng walk in on Rufus doing something out of the ordinary?  Is Reno getting into a mess of trouble again - but this time it's Rude's fault?  Does Cloud volunteer to help Tifa in the bar and things go awry?  Do we even have to mention the scientists and what their weird days consist of? Have the chocobos escaped and are now running rampant in Deep Ground?

Whoever it is, whatever the job - give them a weird day at work in just 100 words.

The chocobos were thriving in the post-Meteor world. The ranch was expanding as fast as humanly possible, but chocobo’s bred faster. In desperation, Chocobo Billy started letting highly intelligent but ownerless birds lead flocks out in the wild to graze, and hoped that they would return back to the ranch with their chicks.

It worked, and Billy thought the best day of his life was when a flock came back with green and blue chicks, social and healthy. On bad days they brought monsters with them. But the weirdest thing he ever saw them bring back was a young woman.

In the 10 years that the Shinra Company had been rebuilding itself, Tseng had seen many odd requests cross his desk, which led to many interesting days at work. Rufus was the kind of boss who commanded loyalty and respect, and would treat you with the same when you proved your worth. In all those years, Tseng had never blinked at one of Rufus’s orders, merely assigned appropriate personnel and got the job done as soon as possible.

The one that appeared this morning caused him serious pause:

“Needed: list of available women for breeding of my heir. Due tomorrow.”
