Author's Note: I figured a semi-serious investigation of the consequences of not getting sick would fit in here too.

After your second shot of mako, your immune system gets boosted.  That's why SOLDIERs aren't prone to colds, sniffles, or anything else like that.  Of course, the incidence of auto-immune disorders goes up.  Most SOLDIERs have at least three food allergies, many have more.  Organising the canteen is a nightmare.

“Let's see, fourteen gluten-intolerant, twelve who react to colouring 355, sixteen who can't have seafood, twenty who go into shock from eating peanuts – how many have I missed?”

“You've missed six who can't eat tofu; the General's allergy to capsacin; oh, and the lactose-intolerant.”

“Steamed greens again?”

“Yup.”
